I ordered a steak and cheese grinder tonight and thank God I wasn’t eating fast, because I found a mangled piece of plastic buried in my grinder. I called them and they refused to remake my food and give me a refund. They wanted me to come back, which I refused as there is a snow storm going on. I wasn’t able to speak directly to a manager which should have happened. Instead, the worker and the “manager” talked back and forth while I was on the phone. While on the phone I picked through the sandwich obviously alarmed. I found a smaller piece of plastic also mangled and something brown and pointy like a stick not sure what it is, but definitely hard as a brick and razor sharp at the end. I don’t even want to pick through the other half of the grinder to find out what else might be in there. Too bad I couldn’t post the videos I took. I’m actually appalled. You never think it will happen to you. Their customer service has always been poor, my boyfriend won’t eat this location’s food because of it. I love Mancino’s food, guess I’ll stick to the GL and Mt. Hope locations. If you’re feeding this to your children you might want to sift through it first. Also the waffle fries I received with this order were cold and clearly not fresh. End rant.10/10 do not recommend!

Very poor service I am a new door Dasher in the area doordash gave me this order by accident however because I didn’t have a door dash bag I was sent away and the mixed girl with black hair very unprofessional laughing because doordash hasn’t sent me the proper bags I need for specific buildings… Not only that the girl with the black and white glass blonde hair very unprofessional when confronted about laughing at me for not having a bag she said I was unprofessional for not coming prepared? How it is my fault that I was given an order for your location and door dash hasn’t sent me a bag yet? That’s not me being unprofessional I’m a new Dasher your staff should seriously understand that then wanna ask me to buy a bag for more then what I’m getting for the like no that is just very unprofessional and I will NEVER EAT HERE OR GRAB A PICKUP ORDER never in a million years have a seen a business run like this it’s very sad

I’ve always loved Mancino’s but it’s over. I paid for my food and was waiting for it to be finished. I asked if there was a restroom I could use while I waited and I was told it was closed to the public due to a leak. After I asked a follow up question Macy/Gracie/Stacy (couldn’t catch it for sure) just walked away.

1. I paid for food and service, I’m not someone walking off Cedar Street to use the toilet.
2. Michigan law requires restaurants have a working and available restroom for patrons, BUT!
3. Since the pandemic, a “dine-in closed” sign has been posted, so they can skirt around that fine line.

If the owner wasn’t lazy, maybe they could set the chairs (which are there, just turn on top of the tables) and allow people to eat there but then they’d have to fix the toilet; so it all comes full circle. No dine-in, no need to keep up the maintenance. Technicalities!

Dude in the Tigers shirt, you were cool. Macy/Gracie/Stacy (blond hair, white shirt, glasses late teen/early 20’s) at 5pm on 1/29/26: your rude interaction and reply is why I’m never coming back and made this post. I hope the snow melts through your socks all winter.

We love the turkey grinders! And that you can buy a 1/4 size. I don’t know anywhere else you can get that size. And it’s perfect! Always fresh made with a crunchy bread that is so delicious! And they’ve maintained their quality for years love love, love!

The staff here during lunch 10/13 at 12:30pm are amazing, so incredibly thorough and helpful. Definitely some of the best customer service I’ve come across in a long time. Amber deserves a huge shout out for her friendly and knowledgeable demeanor.

If there’s one thing to say about this business, is that it has consistently over the last 25yrs I’ve been going there, has had some of the best grinders I’ve ever had! Prices have always been fair, service has always been friendly no matter which location I went to

I would give zero stars if I could.

We have been to the Jackson, MI Mancino’s countless times, Mancino’s in Frandor (unfortunately closed) countless times, Cavoni’s in Hillsdale (yup, look it up its part of the greater history if the “franchise”), and various other Mancinos around the state over the decades of living in MI.

Our order last night was the most disgusting, horrifying and sickening food experience we have had with a restaurant across Michigan in all of our combined years on this planet…and thats saying something!

There are at least two dozen better places to eat within two minutes of here. I would demand a refund (and I should via doordash) but I dont feel like hurting the Dasher in the process.

The produce on everything was wilting and old, the salad had an entire can of canned mushrooms on a garden salad along with wilted lettuce, green peppers, onions and tomatoes that were hacked into garbage, the sandwiches were soggy, the garlic bread was awful, it was all cold…nothing was what we’ve experienced at any other mancio’s or frankly at most of the places we try and/or frequent.

I would eat subway or burger king before I ever considered this slop again…and I haven’t been to either of those in a decade or more.
Do not waste your money here…they deserve to shut down.

I miss the old mancino’s when customer service was important! The people that work at the store don’t want to be there. You can tell by the conversation that they have with you and by the fact that your food looks and is this s***** old lettuce half the meat is not even in the sandwich as you can see in the picture old tomato. But the price is skyrocketed. And now the sandwich taste like hamburger meat nothing else no flavor.
