A very quiet early evening in February and the restaurant was empty as we walked in. We were joined by other customers almost immediately, but it gave us the chance to choose our favourite table.
Anyway, the food was as good as ever (we moved away from Edinburgh a while ago but used to come regularly). The staff were lovely and just attentive enough without being intrusive.
It was like coming home.

My daughter had her birthday party here. They were a group of 9 girls & they all made their own pizzas from scratch & ate it for their lunch, which was fab!
The restaurant had everything set up and ready on our arrival & Paul, very patiently taught them how to make it. The girls were very chuffed & had a great time. Very smooth & easy experience.
Highly recommend.

Mamma’s came highly recommended to us from a local resident and we are glad we listened!Absolutely loved our experience here for supper the other night. Weather was lovely so we were able to sit outside and chat with some of the other patrons. The pizza was outstanding and the owner was lovely! We came at a very busy time so the server was visibly a little overwhelmed, but despite that, she was wonderful and provided very attentive service as quickly as she could which I think is much in her credit.

We stopped here during our Big Bus Tour with our kids — and it was absolutely the right choice. The pizzas were fresh, delicious, and generously topped — the one with rocket and spicy sauce was a particular highlight! The kids loved the fries and burgers, and the service was both quick and friendly.
The colorful and fun interior added a playful vibe, making the whole experience enjoyable for both adults and children. It’s hard to find a place where the whole family leaves full and happy — this was one of those rare spots.
Highly recommended for families visiting Edinburgh who are looking for good food, big portions, and a relaxed atmosphere.

Popped in randomly and picked up a takeaway pizza. Staff were courteous and welcoming. I was provided with a glass of water whilst I waited. The pizza itself was fantastic, went with the Darth Saucer as I couldn’t resist with that name. Fresh, tasty and perfectly cooked. 5 stars all round. No pictures as it was inhaled!

The services was good: the lady was checking is everything was okay and she was sweet. BUT the food…have not seen before this: the lasagna was swimming in fat (super disgusting) and the garlic bread: was more butter than bread. Was a really shame

Walking back to my air BNB and Mamma’s was just a few doors down. Ordered a large carryout two topping pizza. At the moment I’m sorry to say I’m an American and have eaten a lot of pizza this was “okay”. I had a couple of slices left over and had them cold the next morning. I enjoyed it more cold the next day!
Service was good and there were several tables available if I were have stayed.
