Came here for Valentine’s and to iur surprise, it wasn’t as busy. Our server Brandi was awesome! She was friendly and attentive, made sure we had everything. The food was delicious. Fresh calamarie fried perfectly and the mussels were nicely bathed in the garlic, white wine sauce which was perfect for dipping the bread. Our entree’s, chicken marsala and the veal were nicely seasoned and breaded perfect. The desserts topped it all of with a delicious creme brulee, affogato, and cappuccino. Definitely a flash back of being in Naples, Italy. We’ll be back for the rest of the menu!

We stumbled upon this restaurant while visiting Gettysburg. We stopped in for an early dinner and hands-down, this is the best Italian food I’ve had since visiting Italy. The pizza crust was as fresh as it gets and the gnocchi was cooked to perfection. Topped it off with pistachio gelato. I would come back to Gettysburg just to eat here again.

6/15/24 So after reading through the reviews Mamma Ventures is all over the place. Went for dinner and it was a pretty good experience. The restaurant is charming, but kind of
Small. The lasagna and it was pretty good. The house salad was just ok.

For a small-town Italian restaurant, it’s a decent place. I’m a Philadelphia based tour guide, and I am in town three to six times a year giving tours and have eaten here a bunch of times. I think if they would expand the seating and also slim down the menu by a third to forty percent, they’d really knock it out of the park. It’s tough even in a competitive and foodie big city like Philly to have a ginormous menu and do it all well, let alone in a tourist dependent, seasonal small town. I get where the chef/manager/owner may feel like a wider menu would attract and/or satisfy more customers, but honestly they can slim things down a bit and have that desired outcome because the quality would go through the roof and costs would come down, even if just a bit. That said, the staff is always friendly and I’ve had way worse meals in my life and travels so if you’re in town and want something Italian give this place a try.

We had a great experience, coming here after a long day exploring Gettysburg. Our waitress was wonderful, the fried zucchini spears and pizza were both delicious and the drinks were great! Highly recommended.

I’m a tourist and Mamma Ventura Restaurant is the place that take us. The most famous restaurant didn’t want to take us because it was too much customer or they didn’t have a worker i do not know.

This restaurant is not busy but very slow service. I waited 5 minutes for seating and 15 minutes for waitress to take my order. I actually saw thae review before I got in to the place but it was not eating place, very hot day, long walking distance, etc. At least I’m in somewhere who take us. Some another restaurant in the area open after 3 PM.

I have fried calamari for start and salad that comes with the meal for lunch. It took a while for main to come and pasta was over cooked. I have fish but they only have the bake on left. The problem is they have lack of worker that is why service and food comes so slow.

On our recent visit to Gettysburg my husband I had dinner at Mamma Ventura’s. We have been to the area only 3 times in the last 2 years and this is the first time we ate here. We are so glad we discovered this terrific Italian Restaurant!! The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was friendly and courteous. Whenever we are in the area this will definitely be at the top of our list when we are picking our dinner spot. Highly recommend.

Food was terrific. Waitress was all alone and did a superb job taking all the orders and being very pleasant. Rice balls were A1. Veal was tender. Pasta could be more Al dente (i.e., less cooked). Best Italian restaurant in Gettysburg. One request: please make rigatoni carbonara authentic way with egg yolks, cheese, and pasta water. No oil or cream
