Didn’t feel like cooking today, long day. Asked my client if she’d like pizza and how about Mamma Rosa’s. Her 98 year old eyes lit up and she replied “Oh yes! It’s good and she was a friend of my sister.” So Mamma Rosa’s is was, and boy was it good. Better than good! Absolutely amazingly delicious and from a REAL Mom-and-Pop Restaurant. The pizza, the cannoli, and the tiramisu. Can’t wait to try more!!!

I’ve ordered several times from them and it’s always delightful. The portions are large and the prices are affordable, and I know I say this a lot, but it’s truly fantastic pizza.

Everything tastes fresh, the crust has a great chew, and each one is flavorful. I just might like the veggie pizza more than the meat one, and that’s really saying something. The meat lovers is also a fantastic choice but don’t sleep on the veggie pizza.

The canolis (the other thing I judge a pizza place on) are classic. Flaky, buttery, creamy, and perfect.

The staff is also incredibly friendly and I often see people having actual conversations with the folks that work there. It’s great to see a true local restaurant that does in fact care about it’s patrons.

The BEST pizza in Brevard!! A 20in cheese for $20, can’t beat that. It feeds my family of 4 with leftovers. Everything I’ve eaten from Mama Rosas is delicious. Growing up with Italian grandparents it’s hard to find that homemade taste but Mama Rosas has it perfected. They’re family and the treat each customer as such!!

We stopped at this unassuming restaurant on our way back to Orlando. Very friendly people and quick with the service. We had the Greek salad, which was enough to share with three people, and mama Rosa’s specialty pizza. A great place to stop for a casual meal that is excellent and filling. I did not post any pictures because others have posted. Excellent pictures of the food.

We have been in a few times and it’s always a wonderful experience. There’s always a warm welcome as soon as you walk in. The pizza is always amazing! Sometimes on really busy days they will run out of garlic knots; they are MUST-HAVES so come earlier or on a week day (they’re closed sundays and mondays). If you do happen to come at a time that they’re out of knots, grab the garlic bread with cheese! So good. The waitress Kayla, is fantastic! Very attentive no matter how busy she gets.
We eat a LOT of pizza and this is one of our favorite places in the entire state.

I’ve lived all over the east coast from Florida to Massachusetts. This pizza is as good if not better than the New York and Jersey City pizzas that I had many years ago. Fantastic pizza. Try Mama Rosa’s cheese cake if you haven’t already. It is the best!

Mama Rosa’s is one of our favorite places to get pizza. The food is usually hot, fresh, and very good, even though it can be a little expensive. The personnel is very nice, and the one time I had a problem, they corrected it immediately away without any trouble. My wife is from Jersey, and she says that this is the closest thing to true New York pizza she has found in Florida. That alone makes it worth the money.

4 Stars

My loyal followers know there is nothing I dislike more than pedestrian Italian food. Not only is the food unpleasant, but the owners are, oftentimes, the most combative and have threatened my life span more than any others. So, when Mamma Rosa’s Pizzeria Restaurant popped up on my random name generator, it was with slight trepidation that I set forth.

When I walked into this quaint, clean eatery, I first observed the owner, Steven. Steven is about as far from a mesomorph as the Big Boy. Grabbing a table I was soon approached by a gentleman who went by the moniker of Myles. Myles was fantastic in every way a server can be and took my order for some Fettuccine Alfredo, Sausage Parmigiana and one Meat Lovers Pizza.

While waiting for Myles to return with my grub, I took a few pictures of the place (minimalism was on full display) and relaxed in the welcoming, family atmosphere. Before too long, Myles brought forth my feast, snapping a few pictures of the order (look at that food!), I proceeded to dig in. I would be remiss if I failed to mention the appetizing aromas assaulting my olfactory nerve. Everything certainly looked and smelled far above the plebeian fodder that passes for Italian food in most clip joints dotting the Space Coast.

The first to dance tastefully across my taste buds was the Italian dish from a restaurant in Rome that conquered the world, Fettuccine Alfredo. The perfectly cooked Fettuccine was slathered in some of the creamiest, cheesiest Alfredo sauce that has yet to slide down my gullet. It had the perfect amount of garlic and nice woodsy notes from the cheese. Magnifico!

As hard as it was to turn my attention to the Sausage Parmigiana, I forced myself to move on as I was here for a job, not to eat myself into an Alfredo-induced coma. I have to draw your attention to the photos at this point. I mean, just look at that Sausage Parmigiana! As with anything served on a bread base, it all begins with the foundation. I don’t know if Mamma Rosa’s bakes their bread on-site, but it sure tasted like it. The bun was warm with a crispy exterior and a fluffy, chewy interior. The sausage bedded on top was on par with the bread as this link of meat was to die for. It was sweet, savory, complex in flavor and cooked to perfection. The sauce was tasty and had just enough herbs to compliment the sausage without overpowering it. The parm was fresh, gooey and slightly nutty as all aged parmigiana is. This stuff wasn’t top shelf, but it was far removed from the bottom rung of cheap food service cheese product and was obviously the real deal.

This brings me to the final item today, the Meat Lover’s Pizza. Again, starting at the bottom and working my way up, I found the crust to be delightful. It was your traditional crust, meaning not a deep dish, not stuffed and not thin and crispy. The crust was extremely flavorful, light, and airy and had just the perfect amount of crunch before the give. The toppings were supreme. The sausage was obviously hand-cut and out-of-this-world delicious. The rest of the meats were of the same caliber. This was a top-of-the-line pizza.

The Big Boy says, “Finally an Italian restaurant with great owners and great food.”

No frills pizza joint in a strip mall, has some of the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. Better than most pie joints in Brooklyn or Chicago.
