Good food, good service and spacious table for lovely time with friends!
We ordered a starter and a sharing platter, 2 small portion pasta and a pizza to share. A dessert each. The food was great!
Staff was really friendly and kept checking whether we need anything.
The restaurant wasn’t too busy in March, but recommend booking to avoid disappointment.
The bill came out as £95 for three of us.

Food was delicious. Service friendly and efficient. Atmosphere was buzzy and fun. Major disappointment was no coffee when we had finished our main courses, so no affogato and no coffee. This at 9.30 on a Saturday night. Coffee machine was being cleaned. Not very Italian!

Great little authentic feeling Italian place. Service was a little slow but that’s to be expected on a busy Friday night. The food was all piping hot and delicious which more than made up for the wait. The chocolate cake was a little dry but I would recommend the profiteroles in its place. Certainly worth a visit, but it is very busy so make sure you book in advance.

Down from Scotland for a few days in Oxford. Came across this place while wandering the streets as we were staying nearby. Atmosphere looked nice so decided to go the following night. The staff were super friendly. My partner is vegan, and even with vegan options on the menu they advised they could make a vegan pizza that wasn’t on the menu if she liked. We both had pizza and both were great. Service was quick and staff were super friendly and we’re asking about our trip. Atmosphere was great and had a real local/family feel to it. Will 100% be back if down again for a visit.

Usually I’d give this a much higher review, however, on my last visit I had to return some pork meatballs that were very pink. There was no offer to remove the item from the bill, or offer a replacement. To be honest, I’d give this one a miss and visit the jericho branch.

Possibly the best cheese pizza I have ever had across number of different countries. And pasta was also exceptionally good. Heck, everything was exceptional including service. It is located away from the campus and tourists but it is absolutely worth a visit. It was a pizza I’ll never forget.

Surprised to see this place is a 4.5* – I think it deserves way higher! Been coming here for years and it never disappoints. All the food is always delicious, service is great and lovely atmosphere too. Love mamma mia, it’s the best!

This place is amazing. Stuff is very nice and kind. Food is very delicious. Even the small portion of pasta is big enough. We went there already twice because it’s so good.

Mamma Mia is an institution in Oxford, with two extremely popular restaurants. This is because they serve very freshly made, tasty food, consistently and served really well. It’s always a pleasure to eat at their restaurants.
The Summertown Mamma Mia recently moved from the premises next door. The new restaurant is excellent – slightly bigger, different shape but still the same efficient service and excellent food.
On this visit we shared some starters and I had one of their excellent pizzas:
– Crispy Fried Calamari with lemon & caper mayonnaise
– Fried Zucchini Sticks with fresh tomato & roast pepper dip
– Stagioni Pizza with olives, smoked ham, mushrooms & artichoke, with added anchovies
Really good meal.

For a starter, we had some bread, olives, only 2 rolls between 4 of us.
Got a Pugliese that arrived cold and there was no pizza cutter that came.
The taste of the pizza was very plain and was tough to chew.
