Mamma Mia! Pizzeria was created to fulfill a dream and to bring great food to the Foley, Alabama area. Nicole (Manager/Creator of Mamma Mia!) wanted to complete her longtime restaurant experience by operating her own pizza shop. Once she decided to open a restaurant, she knew the logical location was Foley. As a new resident, she could see the growth potential in this beautiful city and wanted to contribute to the momentum. Choosing the old Dairy Queen location with its recent stone exterior upgrades was the last piece to the puzzle—we had a home.
Relaxed, intimate restaurant with outdoor seating offering pizza, pasta & Italian sandwiches.

I went with my wife, 7yr old, and 6month old.. the dining space inside is very limited, but it added to the experience. I felt like I was invited to someone’s home to eat. There was a kids movie on the TV, food was excellent, beer was cold. Coonecuh and crawfish!! We are from Louisiana. My wife loves crawfish, I don’t. I loved the blend on that pizza. We will be back next year!

Awesome pizza hidden away in Folley AL. If you are in town this is MUST HAVE Pizza!!! We have been here a few times in the past few years as we pass through on our motorcycle rides. It is excellent every time. Good beer selection and an outdoor dining area in the back court yard.
As. Bonus the chef owns a Harley and gave us a small hog for our bike.

It definitely beats any of the corporate fast food pizza options but lacks the quality expected for the price. It’s a cool spot and the staff are great. Good customer service.
The pizza, however, was so-so. Excellent crust in the NY style pies (Sicilian would have been good had it not been burnt well beyond the char expected of the style) and one of the best sauces I’ve had anywhere. The toppings are good quality but not exceptional. The cheese is what will keep me from ordering here again. Mama Mia’s could really have a great pie but the cheese was so bad. Flavorless and overly soft with zero bite or pull. It turned what could have been great pizza into pizza we’ll never order again. Having been a chef for 20 years, I understand that the price of cheese is a real pain point for pizzarias but, I would have gladly paid a few more dollars per pie for quality cheese. Cheese is not the place to cut food cost; maybe get rid some of those low-margin toppings instead. It really is a shame because they seem to have the hard parts (crust and sauce) dialed in. Oh well. On to the next.

01/22/2026 – Stopped in while visiting in the area. Read reviews that they had great NY style pizza & it was THE local pizza spot. Can’t say we felt the same way. Ordered 2 pizzas, a simple cheese & pepperoni & the other a Robinson Island. The pizzas wouldn’t register anywhere near a NY style pizza in my opinion & was just simply a thin crust style. If you can hold a piece of pizza & it not fold down on you, it shouldn’t be able to be classified as NY style at all. The pizza seemed more to us like CiCi’s Pizza, but more expensive (@ over $40 for two pizzas), so therefore, we were not impressed. Lots of toppings on the Robinson Island, which is a plus, but one of which was breaded chicken, which made it seem like they just chopped up some frozen chicken tenders to throw on there instead of something made in the kitchen.
Small local place that seemed like a perfect hole in the wall pizza joint, but I feel their neighborhood feel is what wins them over for most.
I always support trying something yourself to make your own decisions & gauge to your likes or dislikes, but when in the area again, we will try another place instead.

Friday Night Pizza! We decided to go early to avoid the later crowd. However, it was busy from the moment we walked in. The bar stayed busy with take out orders. Our server was attentive and accommodating, despite being non-stop. Since we usually eat outside, it was surprising to see how busy the small space gets inside! We enjoyed our pizza and experience as always.

I’ve never been so displeased with a restaurant pizza as when I ate here last week at referral by someone at Tanger Outlets. Our large extra thick crust pepperoni, mushroom and green pepper pizza did not have too much Italian tastes, somehow lost in the crust with too few vegetables and tomato sauce. Cost too much for so displeasing. A store bought box pizza is better.

Ok. Anyone who knows me, knows I’m insanely picky with my pizzas. Blame my time in NYC. Up until now, nothing compared (locally). But not only was the customization options diverse and fresh. The oven cooked was a breathe of fresh air to find. Best part, the sauce was light and tasty without being insanely acidic. Getting that cheese stretch and perfectly crispy crust was
If you are like me and find most pizzas only good for the toppings. Be ready to eat crust and all. First pizza in years where nothing was left but crumbs. We will be regulars after this first visit.
Ps. The atmosphere is intimate while being relaxed!
