Frequently in town to visit my girlfriend and myself and the 2 friends I brought up for the weekend are from Hamilton. I always wanted to try as I drive past nearly every-time I’m in the city and boy was I disappointed.
The 4 of us got 2 separate orders. The first was for myself and my 2 friends which was 2 xl pizzas and 3 dips and that came out to 79$ with tip included for pick up and for the money spent it was genuinely the worst pizza I’ve ever had. The pizza was severely undercooked with the toppings and cheese as a unit falling off the raw inner dough when held. Probably 2/3 more cheese than required and the toppings on top being meat lovers and Canadian were raw and incredibly greasy. The best I could describe it was like that episode from kitchen nightmares with the Greek father from Denver. My girlfriend got a small cheese pizza and that was significantly better than the quality of the 2 Xl’s simply because it was cooked better and not as raw but still undercooked. Genuinely a pizza from dominos or pizza pizza is of a higher quality and consistency for half the price or less than this. I’ve had 8$ frozen pizzas better than what I paid nearly 80$ for.

I’ve been eating Mamma Mia pizza for as long as I can remember. It has changed.
We just got a number 5 pizza and there were onions. It has NEVER had onions.
I noticed that the sauce is sweeter now and, low and behold, that is where the onions are located.
They said the sauce has always had onions. Well as someone who EXCLUSIVELY orders the number 5 (mamma Mia special) I can tell you, I have never bit into onions in every bite.
There is less cheese than ever before.
Sign of new ownership and trying to cut corners. This place could be profitable/successful Forever just the way it was. Now we’ve lost one of the last, good, original pizza joints in the city. Thank you for your greediness.

Not sure what happened to this location but now this is multiple times in a row the food has been abysmal. With this latest I ordered a large pepperoni for my son and the bread didn’t even seem like it was cooked there was so much flop. The last time it was like this too and the sauce tasted like it was straight out of a can with no seasoning. Not one more hard-earned dollar we will spend here.

This is hands down the best pizza around. It hasn’t changed much in 30+ years since I’ve been ordering from here. Matt Meric has no idea what he’s talking about in his previous comment and is likely a gen Z who has no sense of taste. The cheese is a chefs kiss and the meats are cooked perfectly the way they’re supposed to be. I haven’t died, again in 30+ years of partaking in this glorious za. The crust is doughy and cooked perfectly with a crispy pillowy crust. We order ours with extra tomatoes sauce and it’s perfection.

I ordered a pizza for pickup and when I spoke to the Indian girl on the phone she was very hard to speak to and was very short with me and slightly rude I asked for a Hawaiian but to substitute the ham for pepperoni she cut me off and said “add pepperoni” .. I repeated myself and said “pepperoni instead of ham” she said ” yes come in 20 minutes ” and hung up. When I arrived I walked in nobody greeted me and stood for a good while unattended with at least 5 employees standing in front of me when the got to me I said my name a angry looking Indian man pointed at the debit machine and said “PAY” rudely once I did he handed me my pizza I left .this was Literally the worst customer experience of my life and to top it all off they still put the ham on the pizza which means I got charges for an extra topping. This place doesn’t feel the same as it used to and for these reasons I will be taking my business elsewhere
And it sad because I enjoy their pizza and in the past it

Mama mia, for us, was the go to pizza place when we could afford the higher priced pizza. Now to be fair, it never used to disappoint, but our last two order were not the quality we are used to seeing from them. Our last pizza was close to raw as you can get, I suspect they were busy and were flipping them through quickly I don’t know. We ended up throwing out half of an extra large. So, maybe depending on the staff you can get a 5/5, we definitely used to, but the last two times it wasn’t good. As for delivery, we had no issue, quick and friendly. Phone service was good. So it you want to try them go for it, like I said historically they were one of the best. We’ll be fair and give them one more shot, perhaps it was our fault not asking for extra cooking time like some places do.

I frequent Mamma Mia’s for their AMAZING pizza but today I tried the Bacon Cheeseburger and there’s nothing I can say other than DYNAMITE!! I’ve had bacon cheeseburgers all over town and although there are some notable ones I have to share that this burger was by far the BEST bacon cheeseburger I have ever had! Well done Mamma Mia’s! And a huge shout out to Chris for preparing such a mouth-watering, tasty, satisfying burger!

Its not only the food that makes or breaks a business
I ordered on line, even gave the big tip they ask for in advance (Don’t ever do that with these people) and they deliveried it to the wrong place. Driver couldn’t even read the number on the door, luckily the people next door decided to bring it to me.
Even texted them back, not even an apology, as they already got paid so why deal with their own incompentence.
There better options in Kingston and delivered to your Door not the people on the other side of the building.

Order #1. Just this morning an Italian Nona said to me that this was the better pizzeria in town. I ordered it pronto and was rather pleased with the experience. Very airy and poufy crust on a normal base. Toppings were generous and good quality. I got the calzone and a small pizza with a side of wings and poutine. For the crust alone I’m coming back. Well worth the money and delivery process is hassle free. Thank you.
Order #2. Still tremendous. Ordered the very next day. Only this time, it was a thin crust. Slim/gooey/poufy and well balanced slices of pizza. They missed the onions but a phone call to the ristorante solved my trouble. Thanks to Giovanni. He offered me a discount or a prompt replacement of the pizza. I chose the former cuz the pizza was so good otherwise. I think they’re the best pizza joint in town.
Order #n. About a year later and countless many pies down the hatch this is still a beautifully done pizza. If you care to look at the pictures you’ll see they do their thin slice like absolutely no one else in Kingston at the very least. The thin slice is as close to real Italian Napoli style as it can get locally. Perfect burn marks on the bottom and very easy to fold the slice “Portafoglio” style. Air clean flavour on their dough makes for a pleasant bite. The only thing I wish these guys did better would be expanding their menu a tad bit. Add some good Italian sandwiches and maybe offer a different kind of pizza sauce too as an option but overall I still think they are the best in Kingston.
