Mama Mia is a family restaurant that feels like a family. The atmosphere is quaint, casual, and comfortable with sidewalk seating. The owner is very accommodating to the dietary needs or restrictions.
The food is authentic Italian! Mama is in the kitchen cooking… and always tasty with a good selection of options and specials. The menu changes from time to time.
For those with a gluten diet restrictions, while the menu doesn’t highlight GF items, the servers are well trained and the owner visits every table to highlight GF items – including specials that may be GF. The GF dishes are delivered with a GF stickler to ensure it is kept separate from non-GF at the table.
When I am in town, I eat here ~1/week and take people here when visiting. The location is convenient to parking and great for taking a post-dinner stroll on Wilton Drive.
I highly recommend this restaurant.
The staff do not know that I write reviews and I am not affiliated with this restaurant.

We dined here back in late July/early August 2025. I came to write a review after all these months because I can’t stop thinking about how wonderful this place is. My boyfriend and I stopped in on a whim while we were visiting Ft Lauderdale. We were provided wonderful service and even better food. Literally the best meatballs and lasagna I’ve ever had. The place is cozy and provided the perfect setting for a romantic dinner. Everything was high quality, and my boyfriend LOVED his chicken parm. You can tell the place is authentic and the people care. We had such a wonderful experience that we came back on our last night in Florida. The staff remembered us and served my boyfriend the largest plate of chicken parm I’ve ever seen!! It’s been months since we’ve been, but we still think about this place all the time. We have a wedding in Florida coming up and the first thing we thought of was the chance to stop in this restaurant again. This establishment has a special place in our hearts! Incredible!

Wow! Incredible food, wonderful service, lovely ambiance. I adore this place!! I am gluten free and there are plentiful options on this menu. I absolutely love that it’s run by a mother and daughter duo from Italy; the mother cooks, and the daughter is at the front of the house. The daughter told us that she has celiac disease, and therefore almost everything on the menu can be made gluten-free! We had the gluten-free pizza to start, which was delicious, and the beet salad, which had the most amazing dressing and delicate flavors. For my main course, I had the pasta and I must say that the flavor they imbued into the gluten-free linguine was fantastic. It was cooked perfectly, as well. For dessert, almost the entire dessert menu was gluten-free!! This is so rare, and people like me end up usually not having any dessert options. Well, not the case at Mamma Mia!! They had so many options. I had the molten chocolate lava cake, which was to die for, along with a Sicilian flavored gelato that was so unique and delicious, I can’t even begin to describe it. One of the owners came and sat with us at our table and chatted for a while. She was so kind and gracious and made us feel so welcome. I can’t recommend this place enough, I hope everyone supports lovely, local family run businesses like this one.

Omg I’m absolutely in love with this place! The food is phenomenal and they have Celiac’s approved gluten free options (INCLUDING TIRAMISU) Do you know how long I’ve wished to have this desert again since being diagnosed with Celiac’s. I’m in love they evenade my gf gnocchi with truffle sauce and grilled chicken (special order cause I love truffles and gnocchi) the gf gnocchi is soooo good, not hard or dry at all (gf people understand). It was delicious I wouldn’t even know it was gf. My boyfriends seafood dish he said was amazing and he loved all of it. We definitely will make this a routine spot as finding a gluten free place that has delicious food and actually cares about cross contamination is a rare gem. The daughter is remarkable and gave us some additional Celiac’s places to try as well. This is the first Italian place since CT I truly felt was like the Italian found in little Italy in New Haven (if ykyk). Amazing and so so happy thank you for a wonderful experience

Nice space, the service is very personable. Menu is short and easy to decide: 5 apps, 4 salads, ~6 entrees. The meatball were good, my chicken Cesar was ok (had better) and the pasta dish looked good. I’d give this place another try and have the lemon chicken next time.

A small cute restaurant run by an Italian young lady called Frederica with her Mamma in the kitchen …
It’s been consistently both good food and service whenever I have been with friends. And I love it when Mamma comes out from time to time to check upon us.
My date and I actually ended up ordering the grilled salmon with broccoli, although when the lovely waiter came back and said they only had one I opted for the grilled tuna instead. Of course we then shared …Sharing is caring and it brings people together.
Both dishes were super delicious and we agreed that this cute plane indeed is recommendable for this going on a little date …
We are definitely going back!

What can I say about this restaurant! Excellent food, service and staff. Every thing was fresh and tasty. Had the chicken Marsala, pistachio gelato, unreal!
My wife and daughter are celiac/gluten free and we’re able to eat almost everything on the menu!!
Yummy.
I just have to add to this post. This is our 3rd visit in less than a month. They don’t disappoint in any way. I’m very picky with ordering meatballs and lasagna, all I can say is I love them!!!

This place was ABSOLUTELY delicious. Three gluten free people in our party and we all were over the moon with the options on the menu. We especially loved the lasagna and both flavors of meatballs, they just had so much flavor. All three dessert options were delicious. The lava cake was delicious, dark and creamy and the tiramisu was light and custardy.
The family owners were also so delightful and personal.
10/10 highly recommend. This was our second time of many more visits

Listen, you have to come to this place — the food is absolutely divine! Every dish can be made gluten-free upon request. The Italian Bock Rossa beer, Angelo Poretti, was incredible. The pasta with mussels was spectacular, the meatball was amazing, and I had a dessert with espresso that was just perfect. I even tried my friends’ dishes, and they were all fantastic too. Honestly, this is a truly authentic Italian restaurant — apparently, the owner’s mother is the one doing the cooking. Absolutely outstanding. My new favorite Italian spot!
