We had our first dinner here since it was close to our accommodation and had great reviews. The food was edible but nothing special, and we had the worst wine of our trip— actually I don’t remember when I had anything worse since I was a teenager. I hoped a nice dessert might salvage it, but the server said they were out of tiramisu because there was no mascarpone on the island that day, so we settled for another mediocre dish. I should add that the prices were reasonable, but there are better options in the area.

BEST PASTA CARBONARA I ever ate. I love Italian culture and food, so I was really sceptical when I was ordering food here. But they exceeded my expectation. Best meal of my life, and tiramisu was from another world. They use original italian recipes and ingrediants, and the portions are huge. Not to mention the staff that was also amazing and friendly (and they speak amazing english )

I rarely leave reviews, but in the case of Mamma Mariella, it is absolutely necessary. We were greeted by a charming waitress (unfortunately, I don’t know her name, but she could speak English, French, and Italian). We ordered carbonara, which none of us could finish. It was wonderful, no one skimped on the ingredients. We were well looked after the whole time, no one was pushy but very professional. For dessert, I ordered pistachio tiramisu (homemade), which made my palate feel like it was in heaven! I didn’t even have time to photograph it because it completely stole my attention that evening. I don’t understand why this osteria has so few reviews – this needs to be changed urgently so that more people can taste these delicacies. Or maybe not… maybe it’s better to keep this secret to myself? 😉

This was the BEST lasagna in my life and pizza was amazing. After our diner, we had pistachio tiramisu, and it was the best tiramisu of my life. I will never forget that cream, that flavor — absolute perfection, like something straight out of heaven.

Simply the best pasta we ever ate, both bolognese (beef ragu) and ESPECIALLY cacio e pepe with truffles and pistacchios which was out of this world, so so delicious and bursting with flavors. The waiter was also very nice, attentive and informative, with a smile on his face.

We visited as a group of nine, and everything from the reservation to the final payment was perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food was outstanding. In particular, the tiramisu was absolutely delicious. I would love to visit again if I have a chance!
