Wow! This was the first time visiting Mamma Maria Pizza and it way exceeded my expectations, and here is why. Honestly, when we arrived and entered we weren’t sure how the food was going to be. We sat in the middle dining area which is pleasantly very nicely setup with white cloth tables and plenty of seating. Our waiter was fantastic. He was very friendly and did a fantastic job with service. Looking at the menu had me a bit worried because when we see a lot of items listed, it usually is not good – but I was completely mistaken!
We ordered a Margarita pizza as an appetizer and honestly it is one of the best that I have had. The pizza is crispy, perfectly cooked with tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and a good sauce.
The freshly cooked dinner rolls are amazing seasoned perfectly with a bit of garlic.
Then came the salads that are included with the dinner. It was surprisingly large for an included salad and very good too.
Finally came our dinner and it was very very good too, and a good portion of food. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and it was fantastic. The pasta was even cooked al dente, the way I like it.
Overall we had a great experience at this location which we visited because my in-laws recently moved to the area. You have won us over and you have a customer in us! I’m very glad we decided to have dinner at Mamma Maria Pizza. I highly recommend trying them out, you will absolutely not be disappointed.

Today was the first time eating from this restaurant. I had it delivered Delivery was on time and the food was great The salad was good. The garlic bread was good. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan meal With Angel, hair pasta, and it was great. I will be ordering or dining in at Mama Maria in the very near future and I recommend this place to anybody who’s in the mood for Italian food

3rd time in ?5yrs to try their pizza.. when my favorite place was closed. SAME boring, cardboard flavored pizza.. honestly better off buying frozen vs this bland stuff. The reason for 1star wasn’t just bad Pizza but took too long and not sure if you see in the pic, but small hair in the cheese BLAHhhh..!! . If you want awesome pizza just go next door in the supermarket strip mall, real brick oven perfection .

Nov. 2025: Used to be the best pizza. Last time, we ordered a pepperoni pizza. It was $27! Also, tasteless. Sauce wss plain, hardly any cheese, and pepperoni not really salty. Microwavable pizza is better.
Dec. 2022: Ordered a Hawaiian pizza that came with fresh basil- delicious. Tried plain and Sicilian slices for lunch- tasty. Garlic bread is good too, but the best is the chicken bruschetta salad. My husband and I ordered it with feta instead of fresh mozzarella, and it was so flavorful that we didn’t even need to add dressing.

Typical new jersey pizza place. Tons of Italian foods, lots of choices! I had a slice of spinach, ricotta and mozzarella with a side of marinara. It was delicious! I’ve had their rice balls on a previous visit, they were delicious as well. Stop by and give them a try. Cash is king for a discount!

Maybe it’s because I’m from Louisiana, but this isn’t where it’s at. Food was hot and fresh when we got it, that was good. Taste is not pleasant
The food has no flavor, and no seasoning. The chicken Marsala is very sweet, not in a good way. The noodles were really just covered in a oil, the chicken was to hard to eat and the only thing that’s tasted decent in the plate was a piece of garlic.
I had the chicken parm, I’m not sure how, but even my sauce was dry. Favorite part of the chicken park was the cheese.
Chicken on both dishes seemed like it had cooked for about a day to long, extremely dry and extremely tough.
Not sure if this was a bad day for them or if this is how Italian food taste in Jersey. Not a great first impression for the first day in the state.

Why this place has 4.5 stars is beyond me! Huge disappointment! AND they’re charging a transaction fee for using a debit card; IT’S AGAINST THE LAW, PEOPLE! The pasta was not cooked as requested, the so-called garlic bread was dry and tasteless, the side salad was a disgrace, and I asked for the dressing to be put on the side…it wasn’t. They don’t listen and know nothing about Italian cooking. We want the previous owners back!

We ordered on the way home from a camping trip. We had our dog with us so we ate in our trailer which was easy to pull up right in front of the restaurant. The pies were ready when we got there…15-20 minutes from ordering and were very tasty. My husband thought we could have shared one personal sized but I liked having a few slices for lunch the following day. Would go back!
