Fresh hot pizza. Perfect crust. Lots of interesting options! We stopped into the market looking for something else but the smell drew us here and we will happily come back whenever we’re in the area!

Grabbed a slice while walking the New Castle Farmer’s market. Great crust, supports the pizza well and has a little crunch. Toppings, cheese, and sauce were all well proportioned. I’ll have to go back and get a full fresh pie to give a more thorough taste test.

Lots of slices to choose from and with steady traffic they don’t sit for long. Seating area also available

$4 for the slice was worth it.

I’ve been known to drive from New Jersey just for the pizza. We get a whole Sicilian pizza for 2 of us. We have it for 3 days. The best pizza I have ever had.

Best pizza, thin or thick, delicious! They fill with plenty of toppings that you request. You don’t question skimping of the toppings on their pizza because there is plenty. See my picture, we ordered a large pizza with 1/2 sausage & Fresh green peppers, and 1/2 White veggie w/Broccoli & Ricotta. Their tomato pie is THE best too! They only accept Cash only and only open at New Castle, DE Farmers Market Fri-Sun.
Thank you Mamma Gina’s

A gem off of pizzeria in the middle of farmers market. They have many excellent tasting pizzas but lack a wood fire option. They make a very good Italian type crust as well as a couple of deep dish options. We love that their sauce is not sweet or salty and the pizzas are not overly greasy. Favorites are the sausage and mushroom and onions; spinach and ricotta and fresh tomatoes; the white chicken and broccoli pizza. The best values are a whole 16-in pizza for $24. You can mix and match 8 slices which normally would be $4 each to get the whole pizza price. People also line up for the end of the leftover end of day slices that used to drop down to $2 but I’m not sure if that’s still the price. Consider Thursdays or early morning if you want to avoid the crowds or late in the afternoon.

Every visit to Mama Gina’s reaffirms why small businesses like this are the irreplaceable heart of the community. Forget soulless online deals or faceless mega-retailers — no amount of free shipping can match the joy of sitting down with their tomato pie pizza: a vegan masterpiece that not only respects but exceeds my culinary expectations every time.

The crust isn’t just a vessel — it’s an experience. Think rich tomato-infused dough, perfectly crisp yet tender, with a flavor that sings of sun-ripened fields and kitchen secrets. Every bite balances comfort with artistry, delivering more than just a meal — it delivers a moment.

And the setting? Mama Gina’s is deeply embedded in the vibrant local rhythm, where the nearby farmers’ market vendors, artisans, and small shops create a living, breathing ecosystem of human connection. It’s a reminder that true community is built plate by plate, handshake by handshake — not one-click by one-click.

If you want more than a meal — if you want belonging — come to Mama Gina’s. Amazon can’t touch this.
