Came here spare of the moment. I ordered the lomo saltado and jaleo de marisco. The portions were huge enough to feed about 3 people. I must say I was 100% satisfied. The food was delicious. I will definitely be coming back again.

A fantastic Peruvian restaurant that has very delicious, authentic food in a cozy setting. The menu is huge with lots of different options and something for everyone. Everything we ordered tasted great and were large portions and very satisfying. It really tastes like homemade comfort food and the staff are very friendly.

Absolutely love this place! I have been coming here since I was a kid with my parents and now I get to bring my boyfriend of 4 years to celebrate out anniversary!!! Not only is the food amazing, authentic and absolutely delicious, but their service, the friendly waiters and the atmosphere/environment of the place is just incredible. The Lomo Saltado is to die for and their Maracuya… ommmgggg. Totally recomend for a dinner date, casual lunch or just any occasion really! Will definitely be going back soon!!!

Food was great. The Peruvian drinks was perfect pairing to my chicken lomo saltado. We sat in the patio. They had christmas lights out. Cute little restaurant to go to for food comfort. The ahi sauce was good. Our waiter was good. Will come back again.

First time here, this was just walking distance from the auto shop that I was at. Good food, service and nice atmosphere. I ordered a soup, while it was good, I feel they could have filled it with just a tad more rice, rice is cheap to add…it was a lot of liquid, it didn’t quite balance well. From the look at some photos, they might have skimped my bowl of seafood. It will cost you $22 or more for any dish.
TIP Calculation…. DO NOT trust their calculations of tipping. They think they are helping? I hate it when restaurants deceptively calculate tips for you AFTER they added the tax on, making you think it is correct. NO…tips are calculated BEFORE TAX. Please correct that on your machine if you want to help!

Family has come here for years. Last time we went we were a really large party. We had 1 waiter who was absolutely AMAZING. He got out all our drinks and food promptly- no mix ups! but even split our bills correctly. He also was even tending to other parties around us. The food is always amazing, really can’t go wrong, especially with the chaufa.

Great Food Great Service. I used to eat here when I worked in Glendale. I moved 3 hours away 6 years ago and this past weekend we drove all the way back to Glendale for this food!

I will say, it had a bit of fancy but old school vibes for the atmosphere at the restaurant. Staff is amicable and attentive to your needs and the food is superb!!! Worth it for the price, which I can understand if it’s a bit steep but completely worth it!

I had pollo saltado, dry chicken meet on top of tasty fries with onions and tomatoes.,on top of everything soy sauce. I hated it. My wife loved the lomo saltado, basically the same ingredients as mine except hers had tasty well made beef stripes. Maybe the other plates are better, but I will never know since I am not going to risk $25 dollars a plate to find out. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the pollo saltado.

I’ve been to a few Peruvian restaurants and full disclosure, Mario’s is still my favorite. Having said that I try and not compare every Peruvian restaurant to Mario’s but it’s hard being that their food is so good. SO, I always order the Pescado Macho at all Peruvian restaurants and I did the same here. Mamita’s Pescado Macho is very different from all others that I’ve had in that the sauce is soupy. It’s not a soup, but the sauce is very watery and more soupy. My favorite part of the dish was the fried fish. Dare I say, the fried fish was even better than Mario’s? But the rest of the dish was just ok. Overall, I would not order this dish again. I would order just the fried fish though. We also ordered the shrimp and chicken fried rice and the noodles with beef and both were good. Not great, but good. Now the green sauce, Aji verde sauce. I liked this one, but it was a bit more watery than Mario’s and not as spicy. Still good though. Peruvian food without the sauce just wouldn’t be the same. For me, the sauce made my meal more enjoyable. Overall, I would come back here if I was craving Peruvian food and couldn’t make it to Mario’s. However, if there was another Peruvian place in the area, I would try that first.
