I ordered the chicken nachos, a carnitas burrito and a side of chips and guac. There was some sort of issue with the online takeout ordering system that prevented me from leaving a tip, an the guy definitely deserved it – there was only one person working and everything was hot, fresh and with very minimal wait time.
I mixed up the combinations of rice and beans for both entrees – and they were all great. You can tell that thought, care and quality ingredients went into this meal. They follow the familiar model for wrapped burritos that we’re all used to by now, and they do it properly. I would say if not in terms of sheer menu options, they give the big guys a run for their money in terms of quality, portions and convenience – I really don’t need 9 salsa options – they have hot and mild and they’re both great. They have multiple tortilla options and the chicken and pork alike were well marinated and tender, the other ingredients were properly proportioned and obviously fresh.
A couple suggestions should they happen to read this: offer avocado in a more generous portion as a paid side instead of a free, tiny add-on. Free avocado toppings look great on paper but we all understand that they’re not cheap and will pay accordingly. Secondly, try a different takeout box for your nachos. These are very good nachos(I forgot to praise the tortilla chips earlier, they’re awesome), and stuffing them in a high walled container makes them difficult to eat. Something flatter with a domed lid would probably not use significantly more materials or be much more expensive.
This place is fantastic, they’re open late and they are a welcome addition to our culinary environment. Very highly recommended.

Terrible. If you want food within the same day don’t order from here. We ordered food at 6:45 from Mami’s through hungry buffs. An hour and a half went by, hungry buffs said to contact the restaurant. Mami’s said they got busy and the order was out. Two hours after we ordered the food arrives, freezing cold and terrible quality. Called to complain, they said they would “hook it up” and wouldn’t answer when I asked what the hell that meant.
Terrible, never ordering Mami’s again.

I ordered carnitas in my burrito and chicken on my nachos. However they delivered me a chicken burrito and beef nachos. I also payed EXTRA for queso and guac for each that added up to an extra 6$… However, I didn’t receive them on my food. Very unhappy. Never again

Steps: ordered ‘take out’ – but gave explicit directions to our house – man on the phone said it would be 3 for delivery – I agreed
Step 2 An hour later – got some guy whining about how I should ‘understand’ that they were slammed with so many orders. – OK
Step 3 Another hour later – …you have to understand.. blah blah Man on the phone said he’d get our food out in 10 minutes (no mention of ‘take out’ this time.
Step 4 – called at 12:40 am – more bs
TODAY – Called talked to the manager – he blames us – ‘an attempt was made to deliver and no one answered’… ‘they knocked’ – we were up till 1am – this is a lie – NO ONE tried to contact us –
TODAY – Mami’ is refusing to refund our money – they have no intention of doing so. The manager told me to call Hungry Buffs because ‘they don’t get the money for a week so they can’t refund Hungry Buffs has the money’ Hungry Buffs said they can’t refund the money because Mami won’t allow a refund.
Bottom line – no matter the BS – we DIDN’T GET THE FOOD WE PAID 23.50 FOR.
Today – OPENED A FRAUD COMPLAINT WITH OUR BANK – NOTED THAT MAMI HAS NO PROOF OF ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIVER THE FOOD THOUGH THEY CLAIM THEY CALLED AND KNOCKED ON OUR DOOR
THERE ARE PLENTY OF PLACES TO GET MEXICAN FOOD IN BOULDER – AVOID MAMI – THEY WILL SCREW YOU NEXT TIME

I love this place, even though they’re inconsistent with answering their phones and sometimes shut down their grubhub page because of how busy they are. But that’s just because their burritos are so awesome! I just wish they’d open up a couple more spots.
