Reviews
It was my girlfriend and my first time here. We’re familiar with the shopping center but had never heard of this brunch spot before. We were just looking to go somewhere to eat in between class. After reading the reviews, I was honestly a little nervous because they were so mixed.
As soon as we arrived, Lia greeted and seated us. It was immediately clear the restaurant is severely understaffed. When I say Lia was doing EVERYTHING — and I mean (everything except cooking and I truly mean it). Despite handling the entire front of house on her own, she stayed composed, professional, and incredibly gracious the whole time. She was kind the whole time, and you honestly wouldn’t have known how much she was managing; she just handled it and kept things moving.
She took the time to apologize and explain the situation, even though none of it was her fault. You could tell she carries it on the chin and does her best, but no one should be expected to run an entire restaurant alone.
The food was good, the space is adorable, and the vibe is phenomenal. There’s so much potential here, and it starts with supporting hardworking people like Lia, who absolutely deserve a damn raise!!
Let me start by saying the food itself was not bad, and the service was friendly. However, that does not make up for how poorly the payment situation was handled.
We were charged a fixed price per person for a set menu, yet the portions felt noticeably undersized. For appetizers and dessert, plates were shared between guests despite each person being charged individually. If you’re charging a factored price per guest, each guest should receive their own proper portion — not be expected to split items.
On top of that, nowhere on the menu did it clearly state that parties over a certain size would automatically be obligated to tip. While I understand restaurants may add gratuity, transparency matters. It felt less about hospitality and more about making sure they secured their money at all costs.
To make things even more uncomfortable, we were told the total would be cheaper if we paid in cash. That alone raised concerns and felt questionable.
Yes, the restaurant is cute. Yes, the food is decent. But none of that justifies almost $500 for four people, especially when you leave feeling taken advantage of.
Unfortunately, this was one of the worst restaurant business experiences I’ve had. Good food does not excuse poor business practices.
Happy Valentine’s Day…
Service 3.5/5: The service could have been better. In the beginning, there were only 2 staff members who were doing everything in the front; seating and serving. They were obviously overwhelmed, which isn’t good towards the customers. When you asked for anything; they seemed inconvenienced.
Atmosphere 4.5/5: The place was cute; no real complaints.
Food 3/5: The food was not horrible; it lacks flavor. There was nothing exciting about it. Bring your our spices
I would come back for drinks and fries
