Lovely place with delicious food. We stopped for breakfast and had the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, Caramelized Plantains, and Brioche French Toast with Fruit, plus generous cups of coffee and hot chocolate. There were all amazing! Water pitchers infused with fruit are part of the service and real flowers adorn each table. The place was quiet at first and then Cuban music was played at a volume that still made conversations easy to hear. I highly recommend this place.

I found this quaint place by chance and it did not disappoint. My sisters and I were celebrating our birthdays and looking for a good Sunday Brunch!! We started with Cafe de la Olla, delicious, Ropa Vieja, Brioche French Toast, Mami’s Breakfast, Smoked Salmon Bagel! We ended with Espresso Martinis!!

Let me start by saying my girl LIA IS AMAZING!!
It was my girlfriend and my first time here. We’re familiar with the shopping center but had never heard of this brunch spot before. We were just looking to go somewhere to eat in between class. After reading the reviews, I was honestly a little nervous because they were so mixed.
As soon as we arrived, Lia greeted and seated us. It was immediately clear the restaurant is severely understaffed. When I say Lia was doing EVERYTHING — and I mean (everything except cooking and I truly mean it). Despite handling the entire front of house on her own, she stayed composed, professional, and incredibly gracious the whole time. She was kind the whole time, and you honestly wouldn’t have known how much she was managing; she just handled it and kept things moving.
She took the time to apologize and explain the situation, even though none of it was her fault. You could tell she carries it on the chin and does her best, but no one should be expected to run an entire restaurant alone.
The food was good, the space is adorable, and the vibe is phenomenal. There’s so much potential here, and it starts with supporting hardworking people like Lia, who absolutely deserve a damn raise!!

I recently visited this location off Citrus in West Covina, and unfortunately the experience left a bad impression.
Let me start by saying the food itself was not bad, and the service was friendly. However, that does not make up for how poorly the payment situation was handled.

We were charged a fixed price per person for a set menu, yet the portions felt noticeably undersized. For appetizers and dessert, plates were shared between guests despite each person being charged individually. If you’re charging a factored price per guest, each guest should receive their own proper portion — not be expected to split items.

On top of that, nowhere on the menu did it clearly state that parties over a certain size would automatically be obligated to tip. While I understand restaurants may add gratuity, transparency matters. It felt less about hospitality and more about making sure they secured their money at all costs.

To make things even more uncomfortable, we were told the total would be cheaper if we paid in cash. That alone raised concerns and felt questionable.

Yes, the restaurant is cute. Yes, the food is decent. But none of that justifies almost $500 for four people, especially when you leave feeling taken advantage of.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst restaurant business experiences I’ve had. Good food does not excuse poor business practices.

Happy Valentine’s Day…

Came here on a Tuesday afternoon and was pleased with my experience overall. The place wasn’t too packed, so we were seated and ordered our food right away. Our food came out pretty quickly; we ordered the steak sandwich and chilaquiles verdes. The chilaquiles sauce was pretty creamy and savory, which is different from other places. They have a wide variety of drinks to choose from (mimosas, michelada, and cafe de olla). We will probably come back to try other dishes since they do offer a wide variety of dishes.

When we came into the restaurant, we were seated immediately. We were also informed that we can only have the table for 90min; which was fine. We ordered the tequila flight; 10/10 awesome. Once we received our food, we opened our utensils, and every fork was disgusting. There was food on them. I requested plastic utensils, and no apology was given she just said ok.

Service 3.5/5: The service could have been better. In the beginning, there were only 2 staff members who were doing everything in the front; seating and serving. They were obviously overwhelmed, which isn’t good towards the customers. When you asked for anything; they seemed inconvenienced.
Atmosphere 4.5/5: The place was cute; no real complaints.
Food 3/5: The food was not horrible; it lacks flavor. There was nothing exciting about it. Bring your our spices

I would come back for drinks and fries

Amazing brunch spot! Lia was an excellent host, taking care of us from the phone call to confirm availability for a large party (10), to providing sparkler candles for our birthday cakes. The food was unique and the espresso drinks were perfect pairings. Highly recommend for breakfast or lunch.

The food was tasty but service was very poor. We had reservations and had to wait 40 minutes. We had to get our own silverware and napkins. There was no toilet paper in the restrooms. And after ordering a margarita fight were told they do not have tequila. I’m not sure what they used but my drink was expensive and I did not drink it.

HOW DO THEY ONLY HAVE 3.3 STARS???!! Today we celebrated mother’s Day with the family and our was half of our first time there and others of us had been here before. We came here on a recommendation and we are highly highly highly happy and surprised! We literally cannot say enough amazing things about the staff, food, and atmosphere. If you’re interested in something sweet I highly recommend the cookie butter waffles! Light, airy, crispy where it needs to be in tons of flavor. For an appetizer we have the pork belly and yuca, so good we had to order it twice. The chilaquiles, the avocado toast, the chimichurri steak, everything was excellent. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Lia was awesome!!!
