I ordered the Torta Especial — eggs, avocado, ham and cheese and beans in a soft, warm bread. I didn’t plan on eating as much as I did, but I finished the whole plate! Our whole table finished every bit of food on our plates, and that’s a testament to how good the food really is, because these portions really aren’t small!
Highly recommended. We’ll definitely be back in when we’re in the area again. 🙂
Restaurant was extremely clean and well maintained. Highly recommend and will be coming back!!!!
Pollo con Queso Papusa, delish, pollo taco, authentic and tasty street style taco. The salsa with chips was some of the best I’ve had since Cali.
Atmosphere, clean, fresh and warm.
The only downside, if taking longer was getting the waitresses attention. I do appreciate how they help each other catch the ball though and is it really so bad to sit a while longer in a great restaurant after a scrumptious meal?
I also enjoyed their guacamole, hecho a mano.
Their street tacos are legit (Al pastor is my fav)
First of all, the parking isn’t that great, but that is the least problem.
My sister, nephew, and I walked in at 6:15. No one greeted us. They acted like we weren’t even there. This was our first time so we stood there for a couple of minutes thinking they would seat us. We finally asked the lady at the counter, “do we seat ourselves?”
She replied, “yes”
We walked over and sat down at the booth and waited and waited and waited.
Then we see “other people” being seated.
My sister finally got up after about 10 minutes and went and got menus for us.
Our waitress saw her and rushed over and apologized, got us 3 sets of silverware, and took our drink order. We were never brought chips and salsa. She went ahead and took our order. I ordered the two tamales.
Again…we waited and waited for our drinks, chips and salsa, a cracker, a crumb, ANYTHING!
We finally caught her as she passed by our table and asked, “do we get chips and salsa?” She replied “ok” not saying a word about us having to pay for them.
I’ve never been to a Mexican restaurant that doesn’t serve chips and salsa as an appetizer.
Now it’s going on 7:00 and she finally brings drinks, but no chips and salsa. My sister AGAIN.. gets up and goes to the counter and asks, “EXCUSE ME…CAN WE PLEEEASE GET CHIPS AND SALSA!?!?” Another lady..(maybe the owner) brings out chips and a bowl of chunky tomato sauce.
FINALLY, at 7:15 she brings out our food!
I’m attaching a picture of my “tamales” or should I say, 4 little pieces of deep fried masa and watery sour cream!
I took my plate to the counter and asked the same waitress if these were tamales.
She replied, “yes” I left the plate on the counter and walked out the door.
These people have no idea what a tamale is.
Needless to say.. that was my last visit.
