On Christmas Eve, I visited this restaurant, and the service was incredibly warm and attentive. The food was also delicious, and it made my child and me feel the festive atmosphere. They were still open on Christmas Day and provided such excellent service; I highly recommend this restaurant. I told my friends about it when I got back, and I’ll definitely be coming back often. Finally, I wish all the staff at this restaurant a Merry Christmas!

I have been eyeing this place for a few months, finally last night I decided to try it. Parking lot looked busy, front lady was rude and it looks Iike she couldn’t understand what it was beeing said, I repeated 3 times “table 4 two please”, annoying. Server was ok, ordered sunomono (octopus salad) had it many times, different places, but here, omg, octopus was cut way to thick, cucumbers were sliced and the spy sauce was super spicy, and green onions were add were added….. not in sunomono!!!!! So no thank you. My chicken katsu was super dry, green beans had the texture of been preheated in the microwave, mushroom soup was edible, the second dish, shrimp tempura was ok with the exception that “jalapenos” were added to the dish, really?? No, no,no. White rice was phenomenal, sesame seed added, so if you have food allergies ** make sure to ask for NO SESAME SEEDS***. Cream cheese puff was good. I was married to a Japanese for more than 10, so, I can say all this. Japanese food is super delicious and the “variations ” I tasted last night were not good. But, I will be back for the sushi and sashimi, then I will rated again. So, my peers, If you are up to try new things, I recommend this place 50/50 for now. Atmosphere was way too bright and loud. Bathroom was excellent and super cllean. Prices not too exaggerated. Amount of food served was good.

Absolutely amazing! The food was the best sushi I ever had. The service was very good. The restaurant atmosphere is so sleek and calm. I came here on Valentine’s Day looking for a restaurant without a wait and to my surprise there was no wait. I will 100% be back. 10/10 recommend.

My husband and I had such a wonderful experience at this neighborhood sushi restaurant—it truly feels like a hidden gem. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine warmth and kindness. Mamasan was especially super nice and welcoming. The entire staff was friendly, attentive, and happy to make recommendations, making us feel right at home.
The hot sake here is amazing, we started with appetizers, including the yellowtail carpaccio, which was absolutely excellent. The sauce paired beautifully with the fish. We also loved the vegetable tempura.
For sushi, we tried several pieces including ocean trout, Japanese snapper, bluefin tuna, and kanpachi, and every single one was amazing. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the toppings were unique, creative, and delicious without overpowering the natural flavor of the sushi. You can really tell there’s attention to detail and pride in the food here. A roll recommended by the staff called the funky fuego. It was very interesting, and incredibly delicious—a perfect example of how this place isn’t afraid to be creative while still delivering on flavor.
Overall, everything—from the fresh, amazing food to the friendly, welcoming service made this a memorable dining experience. We will definitely be back and are already looking forward to bringing friends to share this place with them. Highly recommended!

Great cozy sushi restaurant in a new location (moved from highway 6 and park row). The owner is very nice, helpful and always greets us with a smile. The staff is attentive, efficient and the food was tasty. We got the spicy edamame, peach sake, dragon roll and the fire volcano roll. Everything tasted great. I have also gotten the bento box to-go in the past which was also very nice.

Great authentic sushi handmade to order! It was my fiirst time trying japanese beer so I asked for a recommendation and I enjoyed it. Service was still good even though they were packed. Definitely going back!

Came here for the first time today and we will be back! Beautiful and clean atmosphere, friendly staff, timely service, fair prices for what you get, and tasty food! Our server Sami was amazing – super sweet, attentive and I’d love to have her as a server again! Overall we had a great first visit here and recommend it to anyone. Love that their menu tells you every ingredient on each roll.
