Best pizza in the area. Gino, the owner has over 30 years experience in NYC making pizza, and has brought his expertise to Garwood. Great family restaurant, amazing food. The crust is soft yet crispy and not soggy. Everyone at the restaurant is super polite and respectful. Feels like eating at home minus the cleanup. And great variety of toppings.

So glad to have this place next to Jersey Cutz. Very nice new family owners. Great place to eat. Much better than Rudy’s and especially Lorenzo’s which they both have very disgusting Pizza. Some places in this area don’t sell pizza by the slice like they. Good luck new ownership. I hope you are here to stay.

Came on a Saturday Night around 6pm and the place was empty. The pizza that was out on the counter looked less than appetizing and tasted as such. The owners did not want to engage in any conversation whatsoever..Didnt want to talk Pizza, Pasta or Meatballs. Just here is your slice and go. I have nothing really positive to say, the pizza was not good, took 2 bites and was already looking for another pizza place..

the owner made me smile with a fully aluminum covered to go box making sure my pizza stays warm while I take the train to Newark. I just had to run and tell. GO HERE OR BE SQUARE

After enjoying Mama’s pizza fairly regularly years ago, we decided to pop in on a whim. The pizza didn’t seem as I remember—it was fine, just not my favorite. The sauce lacked the depth of flavor I look for, would’ve liked a bit more cheese (of course, it’s always my prerogative to order extra cheese), and the crust was a bit on the toasty/crunchy side for my taste. By no means a bad pie, just left me in search of some extra flavor that I usually hope for in a freshly made pizza from a neighborhood pizza spot like Mama’s. Service was fine and friendly enough, and prices were reasonable.

Took my 6 year old Grandson, his 4 year old brother and my son here for a kindergarten graduation lunch. It’s primarily a pizza place but they have a dine in area with table service. They graciously served our choices family style. It was perfect for sharing a dining experience with young ones. Garlic knots, ziti, meatballs, sausage and believe it or not wonderful fried calamari that everyone enjoyed. The boys used the complimentary bread to soak up any sauce they could and they were given ring pops as we left. Lunch and service were great. A wonderful experience to introduce kids to dining out.

Fairly new to the town and have not found a great pizza yet. We had a half plain/half pepperoni and it was good. We also ordered garlic knots which were fresh and soft not dense and hard. I do wish the garlic knots came with marinara sauce as we were use to that in our old town. Overall from what we ate I would recommend it to others.

So happy this pizzeria opened in the neighborhood! The staff was really nice and welcoming. The pizza was delicious, and I also ordered an entree that was just as good. Great addition to the area. I’ll definitely be back!

Pizza is ok. Cheese and sauce lacks flavor. Doughy too. To be fair it was a warmed up slice, but it wasn’t that old and I’ve been eating pizza long enough to know if it were a fresh pizza it would taste pretty much the same. Nice people. I wish the new owners luck, but their pizza needs some upgrading!
