Mama’s Pizza

  4.3 – 1,096 reviews   • Pizza restaurant

Mama’s pizza offers high end east coast style pizza that uses 100% mozzarella cheese and the best ingredients in the business. Our dough is made from scratch as we need it each day. We roll the crust over so there is a crispy outside while the inside is a chewy goodness, cooked in our brick ovens at 650° each pizza takes time to make just right. The outside is finished with a brush of garlic butter. We now offer Gluten free and Cauliflower crusts (medium size only) that are thin and crispy. We top all of our pizzas with lots of cheese and toppings!! You will get your fill at Mamas!! We also have Cheesestix , breastix, Chicken wings and a few hot sandwiches. Mama’s Pizza has been serving the best pizza in town since 1968.

Counter-serve outpost of a longtime local chain offering thin-crust pizza baked in brick ovens.

Oh my goodness, let me tell you… my family and I just love Mama’s Pizza. The food is simply wonderful always hot, fresh, and just the way it should be. I’ve been around long enough to know good cooking when I taste it, and theirs surely is!

Now, I must say, the young ladies up front during the week can be a little so-so sometimes rather rushed and not very patient. But we have started coming in on Saturday mornings for the buffet, and I cannot praise those two girls enough. They are the sweetest things!

They talk kindly to one another, are patient with us, and always make sure we are taken care of properly. So friendly and polite it truly warms my heart. They stay on top of everything and make us feel welcome every time we come in.

For someone from Ontario, Canada, all-you-can-eat pizza is a totally new and an out-of-this-world concept. There were 4-5 varieties of great pizza, with a salad bar and drinks that were also included in the price. They even prepared a veggie pizza for my wife, when she said she preferred it. And all at a very reasonable price.

With game consoles and toys, this is a good place to bring kids along as well. The place is rather decently laid out, with adequate parking in the premises.

Love trying different pizza places! This place wasn’t bad. Went on a Saturday around 11 am to try the buffet. The pizza was just coming out. There was not much engagement with the staff, but the young lady putting the pizzas out was helpful in answering my questions. The pizza was good. I prefer thin crust, and the buffet didn’t have that as an option. The salad buffet was satisfying. Overall, clean place, nice place to grab lunch or order family dinner. Prices seem reasonable. The buffet was $26.00 for two.

My family is a Mama’s Pizza lovers for decades. This Sunday is the first time I’ve ever been disappointed. I needed two pizzas for lunch. I called at 12 o’clock just as they opened to place my order. It took me 20 minutes to get to the Fielder Road location. I went in and paid for the pizzas. After 10 minutes and watching a least 5 other people pick up their orders, I asked the two young girls at the desk about my order. One of them went to the back and walked around and then told me it would be another 10 minutes. She said they were busy even though I had to be one of the first to place an order. It took another 15 minutes to get my pizza. So in total it took 45 minutes for my order to be ready. The two girls at the front counter seemed to be more interested in their phones than helping with answers.
This is also the first time I was ever disappointed in the pizza itself. The crust did not taste fresh at all. If I had to guess, I would say they made the crust the previous days and refrigerated them. I’m so sad that my local Mama’s Pizza in Keller closed. They were doing it right.

Update:
I called the corporate office as they suggested and spoke with the owner, who was very nice. We talked about my review, and he explained some of their policies. He even offered me a gift card to make things right, which I really appreciated. He was polite and genuinely wanted to make sure I was satisfied. I’ve been a lifelong Mama’s Pizza fan, and that’s not changing anytime soon! If you haven’t tried their pizza, you definitely should—it’s amazing!

I am a mama‘s pizza fanatic. But I went here for the lunch buffet at 1:03 PM and there were three people in the restaurant, but the pizza was cold, it was old, it tasted like cardboard, and the bathrooms looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in three days. Whoever is managing this location should be fired. It is a dump. It is filthy and the food quality is a zero. This is the worst $15 I have ever spent. Although I will continue to be a fan of mama‘s pizza I will certainly never ever return to this location.

BBQ chicken pizza is my favorite type of pizza of all time and Mama’s might legitimately have the best I’ve ever had, I’m not even kidding. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and have no plans on stopping as long as this masterpiece stays on the menu. Shout out to Nicole and the rest of the staff for the great service!

I was craving for a pizza and ordered one from this place. A small regular crust with Alfredo sauce and grilled chicken, jalapeños, peppers, cherry tomatoes and extra cheese.

The pizza was delivered cold. So, the experience of savoring it was not as expected. However, the pizza with those toppings was so good, got a spice touch with the jalapeños, the taste which we rarely find. If at all the pizza was served hot, I bet this will be one of the best pizzas in the town. Gonna try it at store some day.

Overall, their pizzas worth it.

I don’t know, I guess I expected …. more? I was not raised in Arlington, but this place feels like a nostalgia place and not “I am hungry, let’s go” place? I guess it was my fault that I heard about it from my friends and not go blind, because when I hear buffet i expect a buffet, not 4 pizzas 3 of which are pepperoni with something and 1 beef. There are no names in the salad bar, so I had to guess which dressing I liked best, I still can’t tell what the yellow and white chunks were . Overall, I guess my experience was tarnished by the “word of mouth” friends. Pizzas were ok, just one small comment, 30% crust where everybody I saw around me were leaving it for trash doesn’t sound like a good idea but that’s just me.

Mama’s is our go to pizza and we want to get it every week! Incredible crust and the cheese bread!!!! I am scared to go to the buffet, only because I don’t know if I would ever leave. Online order is so easy and fast. Highly recommend ground beef pizza- it is the best I’ve ever had!
