Thanks for a great breakfast. get here early because seating is limited. The manager did a great job and would be a good addition to any management team and any restaurant. He handle the team with respect and professionalism. The homemade biscuit was awesome, good size of servings and came out quick. The gravy could have been a little warmer, it was just luke warm. The team worked well together because the manager was a good motivator and understanding when things went wrong. Get some outdoor seating to expand the available tables.

We stopped for breakfast, our first time dinning here. The food arrived promptly, hot, and plentiful. They failed to cook the bacon as asked extra crispy instead they placed it in the Microwave. There was nothing exciting to want us to return.

Me and the missus stopped by this restaurant for breakfast today. She had the eggs Benedict and I had the country fried steak which came with eggs, grits, and eggs. I enjoyed my meal and feel it was a good value. The plate was huge…and I didn’t even think about taking a picture until after I scarfed half of it .

The food was ok. A bit better than a three. More like 3.5. I had a Greek skillet and there wasn’t a lot of meat and needed a little more spices for my taste. The skillet was a good size and the price was right. The wife liked the chicken and waffles, but not the Maple Bacon sauce. The waitress did get her another kind of bbg sauce. I would go back as the place is clean and staff is very friendly and attentive. We dined 5/31/25.

First time Mama’s guest. Nice little diner-style place for good eats. I think you can get out of here for under $10 if you looked at the specials, but I had to order big. I went with the shepherd’s pie and chicken noodle soup which were both delicious. The pie lacked the traditional crust, but all of the other ingredients were there. Staff was friendly but very busy. I bet this place could be a mad house when fully packed. To wrap up, an excellent menu with a ton of options to choose from, I need to come back here and try some other tasty delights (the gyro salad was calling to me).

The best thing about the place was all the cool pictures of Tampa. That was pretty much it. The service was pretty bad. Took forever to get our drinks. Then longer to get the right drinks and then longer to get UTENSILS! The food got to the table before the utensils. We had to flag down waitress after waitress to get the utensils and refills. The food was ok. Just ok. Way overpriced. Oh well. Wont be back sadly. My Dad said when he went years back it was really good.

This place was nothing short of amazing. Our server Patricia was kind and stayed on point with refills etc. Very friendly. The food was amazing. I had country steak and eggs with loaded hash browns. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing. If you’re looking for somewhere other than Dennys or waffle house I highly recommend mama’s kitchen. If we were locals we would definitely be regulars.

This place has excellent food and good service. One of the best omelets I’ve ever had. The hash browns were crispy, and the fresh brewed ice tea is excellent! You can tell when someone puts effort and love into the food they cook. They have that here! Highly recommend!

Disappointing Experience
We had high hopes for Mama’s Kitchen, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the expectations. The food was average at best—standard breakfast diner fare with nothing that really stood out. If you’re looking for something memorable, this isn’t it.
The biggest issue was the service, which was downright poor. It took nearly 10 minutes just to be greeted, another 10 to place our order, and at least 20 minutes more before our food arrived. Even then, only 3 of our party of 5 received their meals. We had to awkwardly sit for another 10 min at least for the other 2 to get their meals.
There are plenty of other places out there offering better service and equal if not better food—even chain restaurants are more consistent. Unless you’re stopping in because it’s part of some local tour or you’ve heard the name in a movie, I’d honestly suggest looking elsewhere. Not worth the wait or the underwhelming meal.

While getting my tire fixed nearby at the shop, I decided to grab a quick meal at this place based on the tire shop manager’s recommendation. I ordered a to-go ‘Huge Gyro Salad’ – and yes, it was huge and tasty! The food was delicious and served quickly. Definitely a solid option for a quick bite. I’ll be back next time I’m in the area to give full 5 plus!
