My family and I have been fans of Mama’s Pizza for almost 20yrs. The service has generally been very poor….pizza not ready, incorrect orders etc, but the food usually made it worthwhile. Now, even the food is bad. The sausage on our last pizza looked and tasted like it came out of the budget aisle at the local food city…. horrible. the entire pizza was almost inedible. I hope this place sorts out its issues, as of now they have lost a LONG TIME customer.

I like the ambiance of these locations, it is fun and nostalgic. The problem I have is we ordered a pizza tonight and they made it incorrectly. With two hangry kids we told them we would take the incorrect pizza (we had already waited 45 minutes to pick it up), but they offered nothing to make it right. No discount, no smaller version of the correct pizza, nothing. Very disappointing since I was craving their pizza the way I ordered it! I’m in no rush to order to go again soon. Maybe we will stick to by the slice at the store itself.

Been coming since like 1991 when the Fry’s was next door. Anyway this particular spot is always consistent and great. If you want a great lunch slice and drink for a good price, this the place.

Update: slow as molasses! and they don’t have all your food ready at the same time. The guys making the pizza were taking their time making the dough… Also don’t order GrubHub or any of the other food ordering services… They take way to long. There was a poor guy waiting forever for his order so he could deliver it and that effects his tips! Also the put mayo on the Italian hero… Kinda gross!!!

Not worth the time or wait. It’s sad because I will say this is one of best pizzas in Tucson, AZ when it’s cooked properly. Getting a proper pie is a coin toss here and on the weekends you’ll be waiting 60-90 minutes minimum for carry outs.

I have been eating at Mama’s since the 1980’s. It used to be one of my favorite pizza places. Today’s slice was one of the worst pizza’s I have ever had. It was piled up with cheese, hardly any sauce and a thicker crust. It was barely edible. I would have complained but it was my daughters birthday lunch and I didn’t want to embarrass her. Not going back!

Ordered a day in advance for pickup – order was still not ready until 35 minutes after original pickup time.

Simply awesome food. Huge portions. The owners are really nice people. It’s a win-win-win. Don’t miss checking them out – you’ll be a loyal customer at the first bite. (Bic lighter added to photo to give an idea just how huge a single slice of delicious pie is. )

This is the third strike. Used to be a favorite but the garbage service, drop in quality of food, and how many decades before the place is updated? Grow up Mama’s, you are no longer an option. Ordered an hour in advance and was told to wait 10 minutes. Nobody here, its dead and for a reason apparently. It’s been 15 minutes. I could’ve made the pie by now. Done with this clown show.
