Mama’s Boy is hands down the best pizza we’ve had in the Bay. We drove all the way from San Jose to try it and it was completely worth it. It honestly beats every place we’ve tried in NYC.
We got slices of pepperoni, cheese, burrata, and white. We also grabbed the garlic knots and the chocolate chip cookie and everything was amazing.
The owners were super kind and even let us add the garlic knots after we ordered without making us get back in line. Such a great experience. We’ll definitely be back.

Happy to have the chance to try Mama’s Boy pizza today. It has been talked about by my coworkers and I have seen it gone viral on social media. Expectations were high, and it definitely met them.
The pizzas I got were the garlic slice and grandmas pepperoni. I also ordered a side of garlic knots that comes with 2 or 5.
The garlic slice was great. It was very tasty. If you like the thin slices, then they do it very well here. The pizza holds its structure perfectly and the dough is fresh.
I loved the grandmas pepperoni. Detroit style is my favorite, and Mamas Boy does it amazing. It is fluffy and airy, and then the bottom is charred and gives you a crunch. The mix of texture is pleasant, and the char taste adds to the pepperoni flavor. Loved this pizza a lot.
Their house made ranch was great too. It is $1 extra. I wanted to buy a shirt from them, but maybe next time I’ll buy one.

Pretty solid NY style pizza in Oakland. We ordered the pepperoni and sausage and wish we ordered more slices. The texture of the thin crust is perfect. It’s neither floppy nor drippy and holds its shape well. The crust is wonderful with the honey burrata.

What’s not to love with East Coast rap playing in the back and some good New York style pizza. Crust is thin, crunchy and with the right amount of sauce and cheese. Great pizza spot if you’re in the area

Pizza is super clean. Very nice non oily crust. Got the hot honey flavor which was not hot at all but very honey-ed. The burratta is a lil more runny than I’d prefer but the slice is still phenomenal.

Great pizza!! Very thin. Good undercarriage, and the sauce is nice and balanced. Not too acidic, not too sweet. Probably tied for my favorite pizza in the Bay Area with June’s. They are on DoorDash, so that’s a plus

4 slices, two adult beverages for under $40…that’s an anomaly for the Bay Area. Pretty accurate New York style pizza. The sausage pizza is perfectly spicy with the peppers on it. This will be pre-concert meal choice going forward.

Walked in a little after they opened and it was busy already. Pricing was cool. I used the restroom, and proceeded to check upstairs with my beer. Grabbed a seat near the open window to people watch and appreciate an actual upper mezzanine, characteristic of older establishments in dt oakland. What a gorgeous day. They called me 15minutes later and I went and grabbed my grandma Margherita and a cheese slice. The olive oil and fresh basil was a beautiful touch. Dough was good. On par with most decent ny pizza ive had. Would Def go back.

Great pizza, great service, happy hour deals, clothing. They have additional seating upstairs. The “Grandma” style slices are phenomenal! I haven’t had pizza this good in a min. Will definitely be back!

Great casual spot for thin crust pizza. I particularly like the mushroom pizza. Food can be a little slow to come out, but it’s worth the wait. The sausage pizza is a little spicy, so have a drink nearby. The dining setup is very casual. I’ve been here many times and I always leave satisfied.
