Very busy place (as most places in this area are) but we were able to get in as walk-in. I was unimpressed with the dishes we got – the place tries to modernize Japanese cuisine, but as far as I’m concerned, Japanese cuisine requires no modernization, and most versions were far less impressive than the authentic originals. Tonkatsu bun (instead of bread) was practically falling apart, with the bun too flimsy to hold up to something like a thick tonkatsu. Toro cakes were mediocre, and the tuna flavor wasn’t balanced right on the fried rice ball. The tuna nigiri had fishy after taste. The croquettes had heavy breading but out of all the dishes were probably the best one – especially the pickles that came with it. The cookie dough roll is an odd one, and nothing to write home about.

Not only did we enjoy the most amazing food but the staff were so delightful. They were all so very helpful with suggestions for our first visit. We will definitely be back! A few samples of our half eaten choices, so yummy we couldn’t wait for the photo

From the moment I walked in, the hostess was so kind and welcoming! Despite being full, she was able to accommodate my walk in at the bar and immediately felt good energy!

I ordered the omakase and let me just say…each fish was aged and seasoned to perfection! Also, the Tuna Tataki is a MUST have! The ginger ponzu sauce was to die for and the crispy rice is just crunchy enough without being too hard.

Ended with the tonkotsu sliders which were bomb!

12/10 will be back here again!

Good value happy hour rolls and drinks! We enjoyed the California roll, crunch roll, Brussel sprouts, and Kobe sliders. All in all, we would give Mamanoko a 3.8. Food was above average but didn’t blow our socks off, but restaurant had great vibes!

Soooo good. Awesome staff. I think I made some good choices. See the pics. And, I made a new friend who shared the miso cod salad which was so good. Professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend

The food at Mamanoko was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. Their Miso soup is outstanding — a must-try.
We were also pleasantly surprised by the dessert. The brownie dough roll was absolutely exceptional.

Came here on a Wednesday – still very crowded and lively atmosphere. We got the toro cakes, umami sliders, puchi puchi roll and seaweed salad and I recommend all of them 100%. I hate to say this because I had such a nice time otherwise, but the service wasn’t as friendly as I would’ve expected.

So to start, I usually always leave hungry from sushi spots as a 6’5 big guy, but Mamanoko really blew my mind. 1 roll was filled with enough flavor and protein to make me content, and the rolls you share will your friends make for great conversation. So many different choices of sushi and every single one is an experience. Love the low light ambience and visual aesthetic of the place. The best part is Japanese lessons intermissions you get when go to the restroom

Came at a recommendation from a friend. I’m half Japanese so I thought she was sending me somewhere authentic. Very disappointed. Toro cakes – rice was way too crispy and 3 relatively small pieces for $21?! I love my nigiri, but was surprised to see my ikura nigiri came out in cups and had to spoon it out. The menu doesn’t state this (I checked 3x unless I am missing something). Perhaps some like it this way, but sushi is meant to be eaten the authentic way. Lastly, I understand the restaurant is supposed to give off the hip, trendy vibe, but the servers dressed in their own attire made them look like any man in the restaurant. I hate to ask “excuse me, do you work here?”
