I don’t like to leave negative reviews, especially when Mamacita’s came highly recommended. The service was terrible! We got there at 2:50. Seated immediately. Our waitress finally surfaced at 3:10 to take our drink order. Their 1/2 priced drinks ended at 3PM. Our check which consisted of 2 beers each, a $7 upcharge for an order of chips that crumbled everywhere and salsa that was like watered down tomato juice with no seasoning/spices/tomatoes, etc, an order of shrimp quesadillas, and a burrito with a tip of $10 for the most unmotivated waitress we’ve ever seen came to $88, yes, that’s right…for lunch. Save your money and go to Emilianos, the Franklin Inn after it’s renovated from the fire they had, or Tepache. Our 1st time there….one and done forever!!

Good food! It’s like authentic Mexican with a mordern upscale twist. It’s one of the few restaurants we’ve been to that has a mole sauce. I was not a fan of their salsa. It’s more of a runny Chipotle sauce than a chunky salsa. The chips were good so next time we will try them with guacamole or queso instead. The chimichanga was huge and delicious. When I ordered the Mexican street corn side I expected it to be a bowl of corn with toppings so I was surprised when it came out on a cob. It was fabulously messy and I enjoyed every bite. Churros were good but I’d have like some chocolate sauce or more honey to dip them in. Sadly, they were out of their house beer so we will save that for another visit too.

I have had multiple dishes and all were delicious, very fresh and flavorful! The charred romaine salad and brisket bowl have been my favorites. Other than the margarita that is, which was almost too pretty to drink. I got the Marilyn and I can’t wait to try another flavor next time. The service was great and I love the atmosphere. Great spot for a date night or girls night out!

Mamacita’s is a great place to stop in for a bite to eat or just relax at the bar. This upscale Mexican Bistro has fresh delicious food that was a pleasure to eat. Our waitress was friendly and overall service was fast. I would highly recommend coming here. A+++

Went to Mamacitas for the first time and was totally impressed! Excellent food and drinks! Great flavors! Beats Emiliano’s by a long shot! Amazing and beautiful ambience! We got the Queso fundido dip with chips and the Camarones Al Chipotle. So delicious and would get again!

We came here for late family lunch on Sunday. The place was half empty and somewhat cold inside. Especially near the windows.
The service was fast and Mexican food was tasty. Desserts aren’t their strong side. Brownies were okay.
What I don’t like about this place, is that they have two different prices on the final bill. One for credit cards, and one for cash. Cash is almost 4 percent lower, but they won’t take your debit card for it. Who carries cash these days, when you pay with your phone for everything? It felt like ripoff, when owners trying to transfer operating cost on you. Customers are already supplementing salaries of their employees with tax free tips. And here is one more charge. Not fun.

Beautiful decorations, nice atmosphere. The guac (you make it yourself at the table) is so good! Love the drinks but some are a little overpriced. Food and sauces are flavorful and delicious.

Service, however, is hit or miss. Hector is the best! Went another time and the service was terrible. Server was nice but she disappeared to talk to her friends sitting nearby. Asked for a side of sour cream and never got it until we asked for boxes. It was disappointing. Will be back but always going to ask for Hector.

We gave this place a third try. This time we had the three cheese rajas and this time no cream cheese I don’t think it belongs in any Mexican food. It was pretty good with the roast poblanos in it serve with the flour tortillas weaving dip the potato chips in it which a little too thick. We don’t like the salsa for the chips Margarita was pretty good

This was our second time here. The first time didn’t wow us. The service was slow and my meal was cold, it was also missing the plantains. The server did acknowledge it was an off day so we gave it try again another time.

The second time, the service was much better. Drinks were tasty, as was the food. Drinks: we tried the shrek, la toxica, Paloma and el Rey guavas (they were out of this drink the first time but it’s a 10). For food we had the pollo taquitos (better than the fried birria bites the first time), birria burrito (we were told they were out of the carnitas bowl) and arroz con camarones.

Had the second experience been bad again, we likely wouldn’t return. Yet everything was great the second time and we will be back!
