A little slice of Cali in Kent. As an Akronite who lived in San Diego for a few years, anyone from SD will tell you, try the burritos! It’s no different here, the Cali Scramble (MINUS the mayo!) and some hot and mild salsa on the side will change your life. It’s also the only local spot where you can get a real California Burrito.

Absolutely amazing food! Will for sure be back! I’d give more than 5 stars. Everything was fresh and made to order. Some of the best homemade chips and salsa I’ve ever had! Didn’t take a picture but I wish I had. As a picky eater, I give 2 thumbs way up!
Also extremely affordable!

We tried this restaurant on a whim and it did not disappoint! Chips are made to order, and the some of the best food we’ve ever had. Everything was delicious and the staff was very personable. Very small seating area but it didnt bother us! Must try!

Small restaurant big taste. Small seating area making this better for pick up orders. We ate our food there. These 3 Mamacitas from SoCal transplanted to OH. Being a Cal gal myself it’s great to get REAL Mexican food. I had fluffy tacos- fried flour tortilla shells with carnitas. Fresh made tortillas and chips fried when you get there. Hot and yum! Guacamole. combo burrito was full to overflowing. Definitely a fork and knife. needed. So friendly and the prices are fair. I’m coming back again. I’ll drive the 8 1/2 miles to get there.

I love Mexican food. And this food was amazing! I’ll be back. You can’t go wrong with what you order here. The chips are fresh and so warm! Guacamole and queso were yummy! Tacos were delicious! I highly recommend Mamacita’s

This is probably THE best Mexican food around but their hours are seriously frustrating! I’ve changed my rating from 5 stars to 4 due to their hours. They tend to close around 4pm, even though their posted hours say something different. If they are slow, they’ll just close down for the day, but they do this RIGHT before dinner time! CALL before ordering online because there’s a good chance they might be closed. I cant tell you how many times I’ve wanted them for dinner but it’s dinner time (5-7pm) so nope, they’re closed!
They ARE a bit pricey but worth the taste, in my opinion. For this reason, I’m posting their full menu. (I couldn’t find prices from the other menu pictures posted about this place before heading there.)
It is quite small inside but there’s 4 or 5 tables with chairs for eating in.
The “$10 – $20 per person” is more like “$15 – $20 per person.” I spent $16 to eat in (tax added for eat-in + a small tip) and I only ordered nachos and a free water. Also, the burritos are Chipotle sized burritos, and the chips are nice and thick! This remains my favorite Mexican food place anywhere, I just wish they’d stay open until 7 or 8pm. They’d get a lot more business if they would.

Nice little spot off the main drive in Kent. It is family run and cozy. The food was decent. I had the chicken enchiladas and tried the combo plate and steak burrito. We had the chips and salsa and both were good and liked them because they are both homemade, however $7 is way too much for chips & salsa. The rice and beans were really good. The rice is some of the best I’ve had. Both were seasoned and prepared well. The enchiladas were just okay, they were stuffed full and substantial but lacked flavor and on the mushy side. The hard shell taco was good and exactly as expected. The quesadilla was prepared perfectly, crispy and flaky but the flavorless pre-shreaded cheese was a miss. The beef burrito was good and would order again. Overall it’s a decent place, and prices are on the high side, but would go back to try more things and support a local business.

Ive been on a mission since moving to Ohio from California to find a decent breakfast burrito. I can finally rest easy after finding mamacita’s. Best breakfast burrito in town! Only took 10 years 😉
