I wanted this to be good more than anything! I was staying at a nearby resort and read reviews that this place had the best steaks in the area. That might be the case, but they are far from the best steaks you will ever eat. The salad was very mediocre. The bread was just OK. The broccoli was cold and had no salt or butter on it whatsoever. I rubbed butter on the broccoli, but it didn’t melt. I asked for mushrooms on my steak, and they brought me a little boat of a garlic concoction that had an odd taste, and was cold, but the mushrooms were very hot, which suggest that this concoction was microwaved. The steak was a decent cut, but the menu says it’s the most flavorful steak at this restaurant. If that’s the case, the other steaks must taste like water. I have never put so much salt on a steak in my life. I just wanted it to taste like SOMETHING. I would never return to this place. It took an eternity to get my food, even though there was only a table of six, and a single person at another table. I was by myself as well. Do not eat here if you want a good steak!

This restaurant is located in a home converted to restaurant. You enter in the front of the house which has wheelchair access. There was no hostess on duty and I had to flag down someone to get a seat. Brooklyn is who I flaged down. Brooklyn had a positive attitude and very service-oriented. Her, along with my server, made sure that I had what I needed. I got the 12 oz ribeye medium rare it came out a little more medium. It was tasty I also got a baked potato and it tasted good as well. The atmosphere was quiet and very nice. The price was average. I visited on a Tuesday evening about 6:00 p.m. and they seem busy. The servers were busy.

First time. Was not certain after reading a few reviews but I loved the fresh focaccia bread and the service was very very good. Our food came out in good time and my husband loved his soup and chicken. I loved my spaghetti. I ordered it with half marinara and half garlic butter sauce and I was in heaven! The meatballs were oh so good too! I’d come again. It’s kinda pricey but that’s unfortunately our world now. Eating out is now a luxury for many. I forgot to take a photo of my food because it was so good.

We had our company year end dinner here last night and it was phenomenal! Drinks, appetizers, entrees AND desserts… all fantastic. Service was on point (as always) and we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. Highly recommend for staff appreciation dinners and groups.

I had intended to eat at a different restaurant down the road but saw the nicely lit up sign of Mama Vallone’s Steak House, so I pulled in. I’m glad I did because I had one of the juiciest ribeyes I’ve ever had! I’ll definitely come back here again.

Fantastic food. Every dish was very satisfying. This is what I had always imagined Italian home cooking to taste like: flavorful, aromatic, comforting, and a little indulging. I was a little disappointed that Prime Rib isn’t available on the weekdays, but the Garlic Chicken was a great alternative.
On the Garlic Chicken dish, the pasta was just a bit past al dante (just how I like it) and the texture of every strand of fettuccine was consistent. And the garlic, mushroom, squash, and gravy sauce on the chicken was dangerously good (e.g very tempting to splurge on).
The meatballs were very satisfying with every bite and the marinara served with the meatballs was very well seasoned. One minor complaint is that I ran into one small bit of grainy matter in the marinara. It could be herbs, but it may also be a small piece of bone, so I hope the chef will be a little more attentive to that.
The Pasta e Fagioli Soup was my favorite. It was very flavorful with aromatic Sicilian herbs. Their house made bread was served soft and warm and had salt on crust which was perfect. I also liked their Cabernet Sauvignon wine. It was on the dryer side and a bit tannin and very aromatic.
Update: The saute mushrooms are to die for. Especially if you are a garlic lover.

An absolute wonderful place to have a great dinner. The food was fantastic. The steaks were marvelous. The only complaint I would have, is that they did not provide a list of types of drinks that they could serve. They had a list of liquors that they served. But sometimes you just need a list of drinks that they offer and maybe you don’t know which liquors are involved in those drinks because you’re feeling fruity or you want something strong it would just be really nice to have a drink menu. But the food was fabulous. The atmosphere is a bit dated. And the furniture is definitely antique. A wonderful atmosphere and a great service.

Wonderful experience in Cle Elum. Quiet and cozy space with a kind server. Great atmosphere for a celebratory dinner. The focaccia was so soft and warm and the dipping sauce on the appetizer menu was a MUST! I was so grateful they even boxed up the rest with extra bread for us to take home with the leftovers. I got the pasta sampler platter and the ravioli and meatballs were exquisite. I didn’t care for the butter sauce but the Alfredo was stellar. My partner got the ribeye which was flavorful but a bit fatty, and a wonderful loaded baked potato. Even the ranch on the house salads and quality of the greens were great. We finished with creme brulee for dessert which was a wonderful treat. I’d definitely recommend and will be back!

Long review below. Short version: This is the best decision for food you’ll make anywhere in the region! Just stop here and eat!
We landed in Seattle and hopped in a car for a drive across Washington. MaMa Vallone’s popped up as a “looks good” type of place to eat.
Absolutely everything was exceptional! The service with friendly faces and attention to detail, relaxing atmosphere, very clean surroundings and of course the premium quality food!
We started with the house appetizer, which I highly suggest. It was a delightful social experience which could have been a meal on it’s own. A table top burner, cast iron pan, house made butter, olive oil and garlic sauce (think lots of minced garlic) with a fondue type, fresh cut vegetable medley that cooks before you! Delicious, fresh bread to scoop up all the flavors is provided.
The main entrées chosen were the Pacific Salmon, complimented with steamed broccoli and the 24oz Prime Rib with a baked potato. Each entrée was offered with soup or salad.
The food was perfect! I wanted to try dessert from the extensive offerings, but I couldn’t finish the huge portion of suculent Prime Rib! I savored every bite before finally tapping out! The salmon was legit too! Put a pin on MaMa Vallone’s and make ANY excuse to stop here, eat and enjoy the local charm!

I was excited to have a great meal – what a disappointment. Our salads were drenched in salad dressing and that is coming from a girl that loves sauces it was too much. Ordered the Prime Rib Ravioli, which to me was an odd thing to have in homemade ravioli, but gave it a try. My meal was served once again drenched in marinara but the kicker was the ravioli were frozen inside. Sent it back, my husband finished his steak fettuccine he said steak was bland but fettuccine was tasty. My ravioli finally came out it was hot, but the stuffing was horrible. So over seasoned with salt and another strong herb, had the husband try and he agreed. I ate only 2 of them and I just couldn’t stomach it. Told the server it wasn’t good, she said nothing and didn’t offer any $$off the $28 plate. Unfortunately I ended on the toilet in the early morning multiple times purging the bad meal. Would not recommend
