We saw Mama T’s while perusing Huntingburgs cute little downtown and decided to give it a try. We didn’t have a reservation, but we will be sure to reserve next time.
And there will be a next time!
The vibe was cute, cozy. The menu was perfectly simple with Italian staples, an amazing steak selection and some specials. We ordered the portobello mushroom appetizer – it was so good that we needed a second one! We shared the surf and turf special. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked perfectly. We enjoyed delicious happy hour beverages and then decided to order desert, despite being stuffed. We opted for the blondie with ice cream and holy moly! It was so amazing that I had to order one to go for my sister haha.
The chef came out and we had to shake his hand. Not to be dramatic, but this is one of the best restaurants we’ve found in Southern Indiana thus far.

The food was great and the portion size was enormous so plan on taking things home or splitting it with a good friend. The French onion soup was one of the best I think I probably have ever had. The only negative that I had at all, and this is pretty minor, and probably specific to me, but I do not like when waiters stack plates at the table.
I will be going back and very much so recomend.
For reference I travel both domestically and internationally around 100 nights per year eating all sorts of local foods.

Pleasantly surprised! After reading some reviews that indicated it might be a less than stellar experience we weren’t sure what to expect during our first visit… Well, it was a good time. The servers are very friendly albeit a bit unorganized (forgot to bring water refill after we requested it, walked away while we were trying to order our full course, etc small miscommunication errors)… Atmosphere is a bit outdated and could use some deep cleaning. The front door entrance is a nightmare, it’s not ADA friendly at all. Very cramped and awkward to get in, especially during busy times. At least the exit door near where we were seated was easy to get out. Food was quite good! Crab cakes were delicious, ravioli and fettuccine were good, and the sauteed mushrooms and salmon were delicious too. The bread and butter was fine, nothing special but certainly not disgusting like some reviews said. Cocktails were good too. Cannoli and cheesecake for dessert were good as well. The prices are a little high for the area, but they do seem to make a lot of food fresh in house, plus very friendly staff, so it was worth it to us. We’ll probably come back to try some more menu items, and recommend others try this place too. Reservations are a good idea by the way. Thank you for a memorable meal Mama T’s! ❤️

Seems to be a very popular restaurant with generous portions for a decent price. Very impressed with how tender and flavourful the steak dinner is. They offer a lot of different pasta dishes, steak, and seafood (surf and turf). I’ve been here a few times and have always had a pleasant and delicious experience.
Welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. Reservations are recommended. Highly recommended.

Shout out to our server, John, who went the extra mile to ensure my food was prepared safely for my food allergies, and the wonderful chef who was willing to do so. The food was very good and quickly prepared. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the charm of the town of Huntingburg. I would recommend and return to this gem of a restaurant.

This was our second time at Mamma T’s. The first time was great. This second time made me question our decision. My steak, while cooked to the right temp was overly salty. To make up for it, our waiter offered a free cheesecake. Thinking we would only be paying for one; we each ordered a cheesecake. When the bill came, surprise! They chose to credit the salad instead. Not the cheesecake. The cheesecake was delicious though. One two different occasions the waiter asked if I would like something, only to never come back with it. He was a nice kid, but he needs to follow through. I doubt we will be back for a long time.

We made reservations a week in advance. As soon as we arrived our table was ready. Parking can be a challenge from the looks of it, with on street parking and a bank parking lot close by. We choose the bank lot. I had the Blackened Salmon with Mashed Potatoes (I heard are the best around) and asparagus. The Salmon was cooked to perfection. The potatoes are in fact fantastic, asparagus was asparagus. I ordered a dirty martini and it was pretty decent, especially considering the waiter made it and has never made one before.
All in all a wonderful experience in a charming downtown area. I highly recommend.
Update* visited again and got the 8oz Filet. Cooked perfectly at Medium Rare. This thing melted in my mouth. Was possibly the best steak I’ve ever gotten in my life. Definitely worth trying if you are a meat eater.

I am from out of town and googled restaurants and this restaurant popped up and I’m so glad it did. This was the best meal of my week long stay in Indiana. I got the baked spaghetti, my coworker got the fettuccine. We got an order cheese sticks and a slice of Carmel cheesecake and all I’ve done is crave this food since my visit. I wished I didn’t live 6hrs away. The entree’s are HUGE portions and well worth the price. I wished I could have this food mailed to me bc I would definitely order!!
