Came here for the seafood fettuccine and it was so worth it. Our server was Michael and he was very accommodating. All staff from the receptionist to the servers were very polite and gracious.
All the food the we ordered were very tasty and filing. There was still a lot that we would want to try but saving it until our next visit. Really wanted to try their Tiramisu but we were so full with their servings that we just couldn’t fit a dessert anymore. Looking forward til next time

What a lovely experience! We’ve been wanting a good Italian restaurant in our wheelhouse & I think we found it! My partner made reservations for Friday before Valentine’s Day; smart move as they were having to turn people away. They were booked!

The food was delish! It came out nicely timed & the portions were perfect! I really recommend the French onion soup!

Our server was on it & I also saw a manager sweeping & seating when needed.

It’s a very pretty space, the seating was nicely spaced, & is very clean.

We’ll be back!

Pleasantly surprised by this place! Though it’s billed as an Italian restaurant, it’s actually more of an Italian-leaning mini cheesecake factory, with the obligatory Italiano Burger.

I had the chop salad, which was fantastic! Perfectly dressed and tossed, with an interesting combination of flavors and textures. I like my salads hearty, and this fit the bill!

Got the seafood alfredo. Met my expectations, and the variety of seafood was good – little scallops, shrimps, salmon. Was it worth $30? Probably not, but I’m not here to bicker over a couple dollars.

Service: Great!

Atmosphere: The place was full of happy-looking people.

Decided to try Mama Stortini’s because their happy hour menu looked great, and we were happy we did.

The bar area itself is very small…cozy, if you will. There is a small bar top seating section to the side, two high top tables, and four regular tables, but no bar to actually “mosey up to.” The area was very clean, and there are two TVs for the sports minded.

We found a table quickly as it was only about 4:30 pm, and we were greeted quickly by a friendly server. She took our drink order, and answered questions we had about certain happy hour menu items.

The dirty martini is a true dirty martini! Tasty with a choice of gin or vodka. We also ordered three appetizers to share.

First, the calamari with rings and tentacles. So very happy to have the tentacles, but would like more of them! The batter was excellent! Crisp and lovely. The calamari itself was cooked perfectly.

Second, we tried the Spicy Prawns. Also perfectly cooked, saucy, with Calabrian chili for a nice kick! The arugula bed was a nice touch that paired well with the spice.

Third option, the zucchini crisps. Honestly, we weren’t expecting sticks, but more flat and wide as they were described as cut lengthwise. The tempura batter again was excellent, but the actual zucchini was lost to the batter so we did not get a true taste of the zucchini.

Overall, the food and service were lovely, despite the miss on the zucchini, and the lack of an actual bar to sit, but we enjoyed our experience. We’d definitely like to come back to try other dishes on the happy hour menu!

Nothing special, we continually try and like this place but seems to fall short. At least the FINNALY added a kids pizza the the kids menu but it just the adult size with cheese only option the pizza is way to big for the plate and hangs way over the edge. Meatballs we ordered were cold but they made it right. But the mama’s sandwich was spot on spinach dip app disappointed with only 5 small pieces of bread for dipping. Service was very slow.

It’s easy to think of the phrase “the service was great” as how big the servers smile was while taking your order, however……

This evening the family went out to eat, my youngest broke his leg in a peculiar spot and is in a pretty involved cast. The staff was so helpful in helping us try out different tables and chairs that fit him to ensure he was comfortable and could enjoy the meal with the rest of us. They also pointed us to a lesser used restroom as he needs extra help using the restroom as to not embarrass anyone involved.

This was a different type of service and wonderful human kindness.

Thank you Mama’s staff!

This was probably the worst service I’ve had, we had a male server that took forever to take our order and when he did, it was both his hands on the table talking and recommending just about everything on the menu with a full description of how he likes it how he would make it. After more waiting we finally get some food, he comes back later and takes our order. Again full hands on the table, when my girlfriend wanted penne noodles, he recommended something else and talking about how it tastes like dust and should get a different noodle. After that we get our food, he asks if I want cheese, he puts it on mine, then my mom’s husband was asked if he wants cheese, he said no. So the server decided to grab his knife, move his food over and then proceeded to put cheese on his meal even after requesting to not have any cheese and certainly didn’t want someone else touching his food. All the noodles were cut super short, all raw garlic, the drinks had old half cut limes in them as well. My spaghetti was extremely soupy and gross. The server did offer to get another one but after all that’s happened I refused and he took it off the check. Extremely strange service and made everyone feel uncomfortable, the food was terrible. The Kent Mama Stortini’s is way better, food quality, server quality and atmosphere. As soon as you’re sat you get water and service in probably 5ish minutes, we waiting probably 15 minutes just to get waters, and we only got 3, there was 4 of us, the waters were barely cold, ice already melting. Do not recommend this specific Mama Stortini’s.

Had a wonderful dining experience at the Puyallup Mama Stortinis this past week. My wife and I were seated immediately, and the wait staff were friendly and attentive during our dinner. Being unfamiliar with the menu I told the waiter, Michael, what types of things I liked and asked what he recommended. I was gratified that Michael knew the menu inside out and was able to recommend several dishes he thought my wife and I would enjoy. As we settled into to a relaxing evening of salad, pasta, and cheesy bread, Michael visited our table often to make sure our needs were met, which was appreciated. I would definitely say it is worth the drive to go to Mama Stortinis for a relaxing evening when you have had a long day at work. The staff made all the difference in our having a satisfying dinner and a great evening. Without a doubt we will be going back to Mama Stortinis on our next dining occasion because of the great experience we had. Kudos to Michael!

We were disappointed with our experience at Mama Stortini’s. We went there for an anniversary dinner. First, access from the parking lot was awkward, as there isn’t a pedestrian access from the parking lot that doesn’t involve walking up a driveway. The greeters were very pleasant and seated us right away. Our booth was in a lower area, near windows, which was fine, but the first thing we noticed was the noise level, voices echoed and it seemed most had to speak loudly to be heard. The music playlist felt like it didn’t fit. I was mostly late 70s -early 80s album rock – think Rolling Stones, Kansas, Boston etc. I should note that it wasn’t crowded at all, just very loud. The menu offered a good variety of Italian fare, but prices felt high, most things starting in the $20 range for small portions, and no sides were included. Happy hour cocktails started at $9. We weren’t feeling excited about the atmosphere so we ordered small. My wife had Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo (small), I had Seafood Fettuccini Alfredo (small). We chose not to order drinks. The food came pretty quickly. My first impression was that I wasn’t used to Alfredo being more brown than white, but I thought maybe that’s more authentic? I’m still not sure, but the flavor was off – too much garlic, too little cream and parmesan. The food temperature was fine. My wife didn’t like hers at all, “nasty” was her descriptor. After two bites is was set aside. I ate mine, and it was tolerable but in real life I’d take Olive Garden. When our server came by again, she saw the almost untouched entree, and didn’t ask if there was something wrong with it, she simply said “are you ready for a box”? This was less than 5 minutes after getting our food. So, we took the box, paid our tab and headed home. Disappointed with the access, the food, the noise and the service.

The owner reached out to me, and I must say he is such a kind, personable owner who cares deeply about his restaurants and the experience guests have!
I was able to speak with him directly by phone and look forward to meeting him in person and shaking his hand! The food here is absolutely delicious and has never been a concern; the issue I specifically had has been resolved, so guests can expect a much better experience than the initial encounter I had. I would say, based on the depth of care and passion the owner has, along with the fantastic food, give it a try for yourself!
It’s not often you find a restaurant owner who really takes time out to address concerns the way he did.

It pains me to leave a review like this because the food was phenomenal! Bravo to the chefs for sure!
That said there is a really sour vibe among the wait staff and very in appropriate behavior from our server that will keep us from EVER coming back to this location.
First our server took far too long to greet us by the time he did he did the strangest most uncomfortable thing I’ve experienced from a server EVER. He sat down! Yes, sat down in the booth next to my daughter! I don’t know if he thinks that maneuvering will increase his tip odds but it made both of us extremely uncomfortable. Especially my kid!
Once we gave him our appetizer pick he then was gone another 20 minutes. We finally get the appetizer and then he brings out the “chop chop” salad and I made an innocent comment of “oh my that’s so big.” And he gets a pervy smirk and winks at me hinting the other direction of what I meant IN FRONT OF MY KID! We tell him our entree selections and it takes another 30 mins. He NEVER checked on us. Never asked how our meal was or if we needed drink refills. By the time we’d been sitting another 30 mins he finally asks about our included desert. I tell him we just want it in a Togo box and to please bring boxes for the rest of our food as well. He, for some reason gets bothered and flustered by this, asks my daughter FINALLY if she wants a refill and she politely says no thank you. He aggressively sets her glass down. He then proceeds to get the boxes. She asked me “ what did I do wrong??” I had to reassure her whatever it was it was not on her. I grab my plate and start putting my food in the box and he SNATCHES my plate out of my hands! Once again aggressively scraping my food into the Togo box then does the same to my daughter’s food and clatters the dishes on to the table! Then comes my salad. This man stuck him thumb in my salad while transferring my food to the box!
After that we wait, and wait and wait for one simple tiramisu to come out and it’s another 20 mins. I turned to my daughter and told her I am not waiting any longer for a premade cake in a Togo box and I’d rather pay n leave without it. Mind you we asked for check when we asked for Togo boxes . We get up and cross the dinning room to the front to find someone who can check us out. And magically he appears but can’t operate the POS computer system and has to get another server ( the only one who seemed to be in a decent mood mind you) to help us. He runs to the back and grabs the desert. As I’m paying though I absolutely did not want to tip after that nightmare experience but felt pressured with them looming. I pay and as we are walking away he says to the other server “ wait, don’t close it. I want to see what she left me.” I’m barely 10ft away when he says this!
1hr40 mins and we got an appetizer and entree served to us not even a drink refill. 1hr and 40 freaking mins of HELL in a mostly empty dinning room!
He seems emotionally unstable and should at a minimum be retrained on guest interaction, time management and the computer system.
