Mama Steve’s is a classic, old-school southern pancake house. There’s a nice posh white interior and old styles furniture, which really fits the ambiance well. As for the food, I ordered the old fashioned buttermilk pancakes. The pancakes tasted great and came with some delicious blueberry syrup. The waitress was also friendly and the service was fast. I highly recommend dining here for a classic pancake house experience.

We chose this place because they had buttermilk pancakes. Hubby said he was willing to try it despite the low rating (3.6 stars on this date). Food was ok but more on the bland side. While the elderly waitress was nice, she never brought us water or checked if we needed anything. She dropped off the check fairly quickly into the meal, even though the restaurant was 70% empty. It’s definitely a pass next time we’re in the area.

Our server , Georgia , was phenomenal! So quick, relatable & filled with energy! This space was very comfortable to be in as a family— however , we had hoped that presentation with the food would’ve been better. The food tasted amazing, but it felt as if I was home or at a relatives house, and we kind of hoped to feel like we were escaping our own reality. Overall, we felt safe and comfortable 🙂

Food was pretty good. I ordered French toast and bacon. French toast was good but the bacon was cold, which is all separate. You could tell it had been cooked earlier and they didn’t even bother to throw it the microwave or something to warm it up. Son ordered platter with potatoes, ham, eggs and silver dollar pancakes. Everything was good but potatoes tasted like they had been warmed up. Too me not worth the cost when unfortunately we could’ve went to a chain restaurant and actually paid less for better.

This was a wonderful place to have a quick breakfast!! I ordered applewood bacon w 2 eggs and a side of pancakes . It was the perfect amount of food. Plus it was cooked just the way I asked. The service was 10/10. The staff were all so friendly, and very accommodating; the owners are also around which gives the restaurant a well cared for feel. The atmosphere was clean, cozy and welcoming.

We had a wonderful breakfast at Mama Steve’s House of Pancakes. The atmosphere is great like an old-school cafe, in the best possible way. The food is great, cooked to order and with just enough variety. The service was also very good, friendly and attentive without being bothersome.

I’ve never sent my food back before. The food was TERRIBLE. Actually disgusting And cold sides. Told them about it. And they still charged me 30 dollars for a 16$ platter of food. The only thing good was the coffee. Waitress. Granted she was very old. Didn’t check on us. I tried to get her attention she would look at me and turn away. I will NEVER allow any of my friends or family to waste their money on that garbage

This is a dated restaurant. The bathrooms are very small. The men’s bathroom was fairly clean. My wife said the women’s bathroom was cramped and another toilet would not flush. As for the meal, I ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, grits, and pancakes. I tasted the eggs and they did not taste right. The bacon, pancakes, and grits were good. My wife ordered ham, hash browns, and toast. She said her meal was good. My recommendation for the owner would be to invest a little money into changing out the carpet, painting the bathrooms, and fixing the broken tiles in the bathroom. Sprucing up the place will make it more attractive for out of town guests.

This place is a new low in breakfast houses. If you want to waste time and pay through the nose for a breakfast that could have been from McDonald’s, this is the place.
It took over an hour from the time we placed our order to the time we got our food (placing our order took ~20 minutes to begin with). Our sever never checked in with us to give us an update but brought dish after dish to the 4 person group sitting behind us who placed their orders after us. The server had only three tables. The food was bad enough that we actually left before my father finished eating (his choice). It was comparable in my mind to Shorty’s Diner.
As the waitress brought the check she spoke down to me as if I was a little child- I suppose as I was at least 40 years younger than anyone in there, maybe she was unaccustomed to speaking to someone in their 30s.

Very nice staff. Waitress went out of her way to make sure we knew what was included with our order. The food was good. Omelets were good, potatoes didn’t have flavor, and the buttermilk pancakes were average. Thought the syrup and blueberry syrup made the flavor tolerable.
