We had two moms and 10 kids and they didn’t even bat an eye but got us right back and the server was AWESOME! He made sure we were so taken care of. My water cup was never empty!
The food was soo good every the pickiest eaters were happy! They have some American dishes on the kids menu.
Both of us asked for our steak medium rare. It was cook through no pink or red showing. Although it was moist, it wasn’t super tender. It was edible but not cooked how we ordered it. The server, she repeated how we requested the steak to be cooked. So I know she heard and acknowledged our request.
Shrimp were baby sized and some of them over cooked making them a little chewy. Maybe 8 or 9 tiny baby shrimp.
The portion were very small especially for being Double sized. I recently ate a Mexican restaurant in Norman. Portions much better and the price was much less. Their amount of meat and vegetables were ordered single servings and I took a little home. Mama Roja’s wasn’t worth the money. At least this time.
My future daughter in law and her brothers wanted to go there so I tagged along since I was invited. I have been to Mama Rojas in the past 4 or 5 months ago and the same plate of fajitas was much more filling. I don’t know what happened today. But if they are going to continue to serve you $1 worth of meat and $050 worth of veggies charging $42. I will not be returning there anymore. There were 7 at our table, I couldn’t scoot up close to the table because my knees hit the w people on either side of the. My seat was on the end of a table designed for 6. And the table was too small once our food arrived. We could barely get 7 platters, 7 drinks, and all the other stuff on the table. A lot of plates were right on the edges of the table. If you bumped something it would fall on the floor.
Our waitress was friendly. But service was slow. Drinks cups were 33 ounces which I liked. Asked to have some of the extra items removed from the table. They came to pick up those extra items nearly after we were done with our meal.
Today’s experience was definitely not the best experience I’ve ever had. At this establishment and it doesn’t really give me the desire to go back.
What made the experience even better was the beautiful atmosphere. The restaurant looks out over Lake Hefner, and the breeze and scenery made for the perfect backdrop to a great meal. It was peaceful, picturesque, and just added to the overall vibe. Everything was top-notch from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back!
Got there a hour before to be seated at 3pm. They said no problem we’ll be set 301 to 315
330 comes around and we’re told it’s getting set up, and then get told shift change. Finally get set at 345.
Queso cold
Brung of 1 box of tortillas with about 6 in it for 18 people.
Mind you it was hot in the room we were set.
We had to waiters, only assigned to our table and it was horrible service.
We ordered food, and definitely did not get what I ordered. Spoke up twice and nothing was ever fixed. 3 other peoples food didn’t come till the end of the dinner and they hurried and ate after everyone was done.
Got my receipt back 4 times after fixing it and couldn’t seem to get it right everytime I explained what me and my fiancé had ordered.
Will not be back. Was supposed to be a good and pleasant birthday dinner for my mom and turned out terrible.
Refills on soft drinks, are not free, as a side note.
I had ordered the carne asada and, it was good!
Probably wont return (shrugs) Nothing particularly wrong, or spectacular on either side of the spectrum.
The restaurant itself is located right on Lake Hefner so we got a beautiful view of the lake while we ate. It is also wheelchair friendly! Had no issues getting around in my chair, although the bathroom door is quite heavy for wheelchair users the staff was really on it for opening doors and making sure I could get around easily though.
Overall a great experience and already planning on talking to my partner about coming back for our anniversary dinner. Highly recommend!
