We were staying in town for a few days and wanted some pizza. I did extensive research through other google reviews and settled on this establishment.
Inside is much like other family owned pizzerias I’ve been to. The inside was dated, but you could feel the love for family. The walls had with pictures of Mama G, how they started, what they have done through the years. It was great to look and read while waiting for food.
I forgot what we got; maybe it was called “Circle” G specialty? Basically it is a supreme pizza. Pros: The bake was perfect. The crust was so crispy all the way to the bottom side which a lot of the times, is hard to do with all the ingredients on it. There was plenty of sauce which I loved because there are many places that use half of that. Cons: There was way too much cheese on it for my preference. If I knew how much there would be I would’ve asked for maybe 1/3 of what was on it. The mushrooms are canned so I picked them off. I wish I asked first if they are fresh. I don’t like the texture of canned mushrooms. I picked off the sausage because I really don’t eat it on any pizza, but husband said it was bland, little flavor.
We only got a 10” specialty and it was $20 which seemed kinda high for that size compared to other restaurants but we were fine paying it because it is a small family owned business.
Our waitress was super nice.
Pizza took quite some time to come out. Not sure if that’s normal. When we got there I think there was maybe 2 other tables that didn’t have food yet. One table was already eating when we sat down.
I didn’t go, but husband said the bathrooms were very clean.

Finally tried the local mama nicks pizza after living here for 10 years. My go to was Marcos, and for a chain they had great monetary value, great dough, and flavorful cheese. And that Old World pepperoni was amazing
Anyways, my family and I ate one $23 single topping pizza for carry out. Here are my criticisms
Crust/dough, tastes like instant yeast dough, no big air pockets on the crust
Layer of cheese is paper thin
Pepperoni was decent
Sauce was good
I give the pizza from mama nicks a generous 3 stars.

We love Mama Nick’s! We only go once a year when we are there for wrestling, but it is always wonderful! Their house salad is the best house salad I’ve ever had. I should have taken a picture.

Medium specialty pizza costs more than a large specialty at Chad’s. Paying that much the pizza needs to be something special. The crust isn’t really anything to write home to mom about and I ended up just scraping off the toppings. What was disappointing was our pizzas were cut wonky. The menu has no pricing, only descriptions. Live and learn. Waitress was nice and attentive. The atmosphere is still classic Mama Nick’s.

I ordered a 10 piece chicken and they forgot my side order of mashed potatoes. This is the third time this has happened. Never again I’m ordering from Mama’s Nick. MAMA’S NICK NEED TO DO BETTER this is ridiculous especially when my order is like $70 and I’m not getting all my food. Hire better people to answer the phone

The pizza was no bueno! Crust was cracker like & tasteless. Skimmed us on toppings & zero flavor. Breadsticks were dense & flavoless. Now the Greek salad was fantastic! No orange for your blue moon & if you’re into blue moon, you know the orange is the best part of that beer! Server was kind 🙂

We where coming through from st louis, MO to Minnesota to see family. I had looked this place 2 days prior to our trip. Because of my Mama and by brother Nick. It was a perfect for our trip. Our waitress was awesome, Kim. Definitely stop through again.

Was driving through and stopped here for dinner. Wife and I had the thin crust taco pizza. It was the best taco pizza we’ve ever had. Toppings were fresh, generous amount of cheese, the thin crust had a nice crunch. Very solid pie. Our 3 year old had the spaghetti and it was toddler approved. Speaking of our 3 year old, our server Kim was awesome enough to give him a couple of quarters so he can use the gumball machine. We’ll definitely hit up this place again the next time we’re in the area.

Family stopped to celebrate. We recently moved to the area. I did a quick search and we decided to stop. The servers were very nice and did a great job. We had the buffet it’s small but the food was good. You need to stand ready for the new pizzas when they are placed or you will miss getting a slice if its busy. The other items offered were good but not amazing. I love the fact that 8 years old and under ate free makes it easy for a family on a budget to eat. I will eat here again and hopefully update the post then.

Everything was good except the seasoned fries. I ordered a whole side of them, and they were nasty!
Edit 7/2/25: we ordered a few months later (today) they didn’t give us marinara or ranch that we paid for! The cheesy breadsticks were nasty! It’s gonna be quite a while before we order from you guys again, if we ever do! This place has gone down hill so fast!
