Family owned restaurant for almost 40 years. Food was fantastic, they offer both Italian & Portuguese cuisine. Very small inside. Great bakery on premise. Only reason for 4 stars, not great wine selection. But overall would highly recommend.

If you want Portuguese food this is the only restaurant in Dutchess County that actually makes Portuguese food. I had the pork and clams and not only was it good you got large portions even on the takeout I had. They also do Italian food with a bakery inside that their son makes all different kinds of cookies and pastries, on premises. Definitely try Mama Mia’s. You’ll be happy you do.

Went for dinner here tonight. I’m going to be brutally honest this had to be the worst food I’ve had in a very long time. The salad tasted like pure vinegar when I asked the waitress if she had any other salad dressing since she never asked me what I wanted she said they only had the Italian, that was on the salad and ranch so I did not eat it at all because it was un edible at that point and I do not like ranch dressing. How a restaurant can only has two choices is mind-boggling to me. Then the food came out. I ordered the baked ziti with eggplant, the waitress neglected to tell me when I asked if it was real eggplant versus fried was the fact that they’re only gonna throw in the skin of the eggplant and slivers of one percent of a slice of eggplant my husband got the gnocchi which had to be the most disgusting thing we have ever eaten And the bruschetta was completely flavorless where I had to tweak it with salt and pepper just so we can eat it. We asked if we can have our own bill because we were with big party, The waitress could not comprehend how to do that. Blamed it on the fact that she was by herself I do not recommend this place at all nor will I ever step foot back here .

I think the owner is scamming people when she gives your check after you’ve eaten. I had this experience a few months ago during the holidays. I was overcharged by 2.75 and didn’t want to argue so I let it go. Tonight I ordered 2 entrees to go and they totaled $44. When I picked them up she rang up $56. When I called her our she blamed an imaginary she. She then overcharged the sales tax by 38 cents. I didn’t want to argue or fight so I left. I think her prices are so low to attract diners and then she nickels and dimes then hoping some won’t notice. I am never going back again as this is so unethical and sneaky.

Hidden gem of a restaurant with old school Italian, Pizza and Portuguese food. Everything is made fresh to order. On site bakery with delicious pastries (make sure you call ahead for something specific). I’ll definitely be back to dine in person. The owners are very nice people.

Great food, especially love the Portuguese, we love the Italian too. We go there often and have never been disappointed. Never too crowded which is a plus. They’ve been in business for 34 years so they must be doing something right. In house pastries to die for.

So disappointed. The wine was awful and when I asked for a list I was told there was none however when I was leaving I saw other brands. The waitress also lied and told me there were no soups That evening but when she went to the joining table she gave 2 choices of soups. The food was not great and get honest employees

Have not been to Mama Mia’s in a long time. Went last night and wonder why we haven’t been sooner. We had an exceptionally outstanding Zuppa Di Peace meal. Very great quantity and quality at a reasonable price. Service was very good.

BEST PENNE ALLA VODKA EVER !!! Order the Italian wings for an appetizer, the never disappoint! I’ve been coming to Mama Mia’s for years ! I love the family owned restaurant and I FREQUENTLY order trays of food for my events. Also, Cardoso’s Bakery is located at Mama Mia’s! Absolutely Delicious!
