This photo is supposed to represent lengua tacos and when you’re paying four dollars each, you expect better. Not only did they not even look like lengua (even the auto caption for the photo refer to this as Carne Asada, because it is not at all what lengua is supposed to be) but they were overcooked and crunchy and the tortillas were very hard and difficult to eat. This was our first visit and while our server was great and it’s a super cute little place, I don’t think that we will be back. It’s a bit pricey for what you actually end up receiving.

I order takeout online and my food was ready at the time quoted. The carne guisada is amazing. I’ve been looking forward to some Texas guisada since my last Texas visit in 2014. It was served with crème and guacamole. The charro beans are so delicious I could have eaten them alone for dinner. Slightly smokey with a lime complement. The salsa is smooth with a tiny kick but I would consider it mild. If I’m ever in Glen Rose again this will be my first stop.

This was hands down the BEST Mexican food I have ever had! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The wait staff were extremely friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and so enjoyable. Of all the Mexican restaurants I’ve been to, this one has been the best.
I always left disappointed with the food, but this time it wasn’t like that.
I really loved the sour cream sauce and the chile relleno.
The restaurant had soft music playing so you could talk, and the songs were very beautiful.

Came to town on the motorcycle for the dinosaurs, will come back for the food. This was an awesome gem to find, was so nice to get out of the sun but still sit outside. What I did order was divine.

Fantastic food and friendly service! I have a dairy allergy and they were able to make my bacon wrapped jalapeño without cheese. Their rice has great flavor and the bacon wrapped jalapeño was good and spicy (just how I like it)
