This place never disappoints! The xiaolongbao are a must—fresh, hot, and packed with savory broth. The egg tofu was silky and flavorful, and the fried buns had the perfect crisp. The spicy wontons were a standout too, just the right amount of heat. Service was attentive and welcoming, made the whole experience even better. Great for sharing dishes with friends or family. Highly recommend for authentic taste and consistent quality!
Finally tried it myself and totally get the hype — big portions, great prices, consistent flavor, and zero misses!
French-style beef tenderloin — tender, flavorful, slightly sweet with that Hong Kong café vibe.
Steamed cod with black bean sauce — perfectly cooked, silky and savory.
Scallops with XO sauce and glass noodles — unexpectedly amazing!
Signature soup dumplings — thin skin, super juicy, absolutely delicious.
Great taste, great value, and that comforting old-school charm that makes you want to come back!
The Xiao Long Bao are full of broth, the salted pepper wings are perfectly crispy, and the egg tofu is soft and warm—exactly what you want on a rainy day.
Good portions, quick service, and consistent flavors. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy, satisfying meal.
A classic is their Juicy Pork Dumplings and Soup-filled Shu Mai; these dumplings are the stars of the show, living up to their name with a flavorful broth and tender filling. For something with a kick, the Spicy Wontons were a definite highlight, with a rich, aromatic sauce that had the perfect amount of heat.
The main courses were equally impressive. The Salted Fish and Chicken Fried Rice was a savory and well-balanced dish, while the Salt and Pepper Tofu Fish had a wonderfully crispy exterior and a soft, delicate inside. They were having a special where this dish was only $9.99!! The Beef Wrap was amazing, a delicious green onion pancake filled with tender beef and fresh veggies and loads of sauce! For greens, we chose their Sautéed Baby Bok Choy, a simple but perfectly prepared vegetable dish that provided a nice, fresh contrast to the other rich flavors.
The service was prompt and attentive, and our food arrived quickly. Mama Lu’s lives up to its reputation for serving authentic, delicious food that is perfect for a group. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their extensive menu.
It’s been years since I’ve felt that instant pull of family togetherness the moment I walked in. Inside, a giant xiao long bao mural symbolizes reunion and warmth.
Of course, we started with hot tea , a classic that everyone can enjoy. For food, we couldn’t miss the xiao long bao, super juicy and delicious. We also tried soup-filled siu mai. This us a soupy goodness that makes you go wow.
The beef rolls and salt and pepper (their new recommended dish) were both generous portions, crispy on the outside and packed with flavorful filling.
And of course, no family meal is complete without fried rice: we had salt fish chicken fried rice plus some stir-fried veggies. Truly a perfect feast
