This mama lu location is not that good… the only good thing is the fry dumplings but the rest tasted very bad no flavor… definitely not coming back here

This is a fantastic and popular dumpling house with all-around delicious food. There are dozens of delicious items on the menu to satisfy vegan and non-vegan appetites, but you must try at least a couple of the delicious types of dumpling offered. The service is quick and attentive if not friendly as the the place is usually busy with the occasional wait for a table. It’s a pleasant atmosphere but can be a bit noisy. The decor inside is over due for a makeover. Still, it’s a fantastic place with multiple locations and lots of delicious dumplings.

We recently came to Mama Lu for an early Mother’s Day dinner and the food was AMAZING! Let them know if you have a special occasion and want some off the menu items and they’ll get it and make it for you.
We ordered lobster and Peking duck and a bunch of noodle dishes. The fried chicken was so good too.
Mama Lu’s has really attentive servers and great flavors with good portion sizes.
If you want great Chinese food in 626/monterey park
This is the spot!

We were staying at Monterrey Park and Mama Lu’s was near our Airbnb. On s Saturday evening for dinner there were not much rush and were seated immediately.
We ordered French Style Beef, Indonesian Fried Rice and Pork Dumplings. For the price, the portion sizes were really huge. The fried rice and dumplings were delicious. The beef was on the sweeter side which we were not big fan of. Would recommend this location.

Delicious, Large portion sizes. Definitely recommend the juicy pork dumplings and the beef wrap. These two appetizers were a perfect wombo-combo.

The food was fine – the portion was huge and the seasonings were spot on. The restaurant wasn’t too crowded in early evening. However, they may be a bit short of staff.

The food is good. We ordered pan fried pork bun (also called shengjian mantou), chicken wing, spicy wonton, signature fried fish, and Mongolian beef. Food came with large quantities, we three people couldn’t finish the food and had some take home.
I came for pan fried pork bun, it’s really not that authentic, but still good. My favorite was spicy wonton, but still, the filling was not that amazing. The rest of dishes, I’d say, is good, but kinda Americanized.
The restaurant was crowded, (maybe always :), 10min wait at least. so recommend come early, or join the waitlist online.

The food is divine, we’ve ordered several different meals and loved them all. It’s become a celebration location for us. The waiters are quick to take our order and serve it in time. We haven’t tried their desert yet because we get so full!

Never disappoints and always hits the spot when I’m craving authentic Cantonese food. Brought my parents here and they loved it! Menus with pictures also help we ordered the pan fried noodles, snow peas shoots (bean seedlings), salt pepper calamari, seaweed fish, and pork soup dumplings! There’s a small parking lot in the back that offers free 30/60 min. This place can also accommodate large groups!!
