Staff have been great and welcoming. Been here a couple times. Their tacos are splendid. . Delicious and even the sides, rice and beans were made well and paired perfectly with the tacos. Loaded tots and plantains were also delicious. Only downside was that the chicken (served with cassava chips – pretty good) was a bit underdone and could see a lot of pink inside. Still pretty good but aside from that, I would still recommend to anyone and everyone who is nearby to come and check it out.

My family and I had an amazing time at Mama Chepa. The service was great.
The place has a cozy, inviting atmosphere, like a living room with a friendly vibe. The portions were generous, and the food was tasty.

Excellent service. Very well priced and long happy hour Monday-Friday 3-7pm that has both food and drink specials. Food varied in likability. The chicken dishes were all outstanding. I’d recommend the wings. The beans in the chicken burrito were a bit too salty but it was balanced if you had a bite with everything. The veggie burrito was uniquely flavorful. The chicharron was just pork ribs not the fried pork belly/skin you would expect and they were kinda dry. Overall there were some good dishes with outstanding flavors but some dishes had flaws so the menu is inconsistent but the sauces were outstanding and the drinks were reasonably priced. For a local spot it contributes to the needs of the area with a great atmosphere and a fun spot to enjoy with friends and family. Restaurant is noticeably clean, well decorated, and colorful. Will definitely recommend and try again.

Our favorite place. Margaritas are the best. Salmon carne asada and burrito loco were all excellent. Soooo much better than all those chain Tex Mex restaurants!

I really wanted to like this spot since it’s close to me, but my experience was very disappointing. I ordered a margarita and taquitos, and while eating I noticed a bug in my lettuce. When I brought it to the bartender/waiter’s attention, instead of apologizing he tried to gas light me & say “some lettuce come like that.” That’s not how food safety works — lettuce should be washed properly.

They eventually comped my plate but then randomly tried to charge me an extra $5 for bringing “outside” alcohol and putting it in the margarita (it was juice that was warm that I wanted to enjoy cool). , which is not written anywhere on the menu. The whole situation was handled very unprofessionally. Mistakes happen, but the way staff responds makes all the difference, and in this case, it left me feeling disrespected and uncomfortable.

I hope management takes this as constructive feedback, because cleanliness and professionalism should be a priority when serving customers.

Best pupusas I had from a restaurant! We had pupusas revueltas, de loroco and zucchini. Tacos: chicken, shrimp and beef. Also had birria tacos. Everything was very good and waitress was very friendly and attentive. Will be going back soon.

This place has one of the best horchatas I’ve ever had. The birria tacos were also perfect. The pork was a bit dry on the yuca con chicharron. Overall, very delicious and friendly service.

Located in a strip mall in Fort Totten is the only sit-down restaurant in the neighborhood. Walk inside and you’ll see a bar in the back and several tables set up in the front.

The menu is large and they have anything from tacos to loaded tater tots. For lunch, I got the birria tacos. For $15, you get three birria tacos, rice and beans. It was tasty!

Service was friendly and quick!
