Simply incredible! I’ve been here a few times and it has quickly become a staple for takeout. Delicious food and portions for a reasonable price. Always ready very fast and offers some specials which is a plus. Feels like a spot Belltown has been missing and needing so will be back soon!

The reviews truthfully told the story of Mama’s delicious authentic Mexican food… and the fact that you order it from a walk up window or online advance. We walked up and had our food within about 10-15 minutes tops. Mama was very sweet. There’s no seating outside so you have to take it somewhere else to devour the delightfulness. We went back to our hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the tacos, especially because it was Thursday and they were $2 each. The nachos were good, had a bit too much cheese sauce for us and we could’ve done fine with the smaller portion. The chicken was delicious though. It’s definitely an affordable meal alternative to grab some yummy tacos and take them back to your hotel or your apartment.

Food was very good! Fresh and authentic food and everything homemade! The lovey lady working tonight was amazing and very sweet! We are new to Washington state and my fiance and I were visiting Seattle and pike place market for the 1st time ever and so glad we found this little hole in the wall restaurant! I orderd 2 chicken/pollo tacos at 11pm in ze nights after a couple beers.
What i got … the taco corn bread was cold, unfrozen still, and worse it was chewwwyyy, and my soul felt bad.
But, so was the chicken… rubbery, chewy, uncool.
I felt stupid eating taking a bite.

This is a Take out only shop offering delicious Mexican food. You can order from a tiny window or through online services like door dash. We tried the Burrito and Tamale with Salsa Verde, both were good.
Our favourite was the burrito that was loaded with rice, beans and meat and was good enough for two. Tamale was decent in taste.

We stumbled upon Mama Chavez Tamales and More and it ended up being the best food we had our whole trip! Everything was flavorful and fresh, but the standouts were definitely the barbacoa tacos and the quesadilla – absolutely delicious and packed with authentic flavor.
What made the experience even better was the hospitality and that it was open late. And, we went back because it was so good!

When visiting the city there wasn’t any actual authentic Mexican food, just mainstream ones, around here but on a whim my husband and I went here and hands down it’s gotta be one of the best places here. Yeah it’s a little small here so not good for big families sitting down to eat but if you were to get takeout you wouldn’t regret it. It’s nice to find actual Mexican food here that tastes good.
