This place looks like a hunters lodge on the inside and is really well decorated! The service was very helpful and they were busy so that means a lot. I got the tenderloin sandwich with fries and better be hungry cause it’s huge! It’s more like 2 sandwiches! The wife and daughter got the pulled pork nachos tots and loved them. I had a taste and it was good. My son got the cheeseburger and fries and loved it too! If you are on the highway and looking for a place to eat, this is the place to stop and grab a bite!!!

I absolutely loved the wood paneling in this restaurant! The service was good and it was nice and quiet even with the TVs on. We went in between the lunch and dinner rush times.
My boyfriend had a mushroom burger with fries and I had a fried chicken meal with mashed potatoes (gravey on the side) and green beans.
My boyfriend loved the burger (I don’t like mushrooms so I didn’t taste it). I tried a fry and it was REALLY good. The potatoes and green beans were also very good and filling.
Only downside; the friend chicken was not the best. It was dry and mostly breading. The breading just fell off when I tried to cut into it.
I was offered another piece but we’d had a long day and we’re just ready to get home. Im sure if I had accepted, it would have been good.

Busy local restaurant bar, warm atmosphere and friendly staff. Full menu from steaks to burgers. 6 tap beers and a full bar. I had the sirloin, loaded baked potato and green beans. I wasn’t disappointed. Definitely a stop back in place.

The service was great. It was busy but we were seated right away. The fries were good but a little salty and the pork tenderloin sandwich was fantastic. The brisket sandwich had fatty slices, unfortunately, so the husband wanted to swap meals because he didn’t like it.

Stopped here while traveling from St Joe to Springfield. There was no wait. The service was fast. The servers were very friendly and attentive. The food was great. It tasted fresh and was very hot. I highly recommend the sweet potato fries with the marshmallow fluff! The burger was thick and juicy and full of flavor!

I wanted a steak and that’s what I got. Fantastic, mashed potatoes and white gravy and a side salad. The boom boom shrimp was not disappointing. Crispy outside and actually had shrimp in it. They weren’t all breading. All wood walls and ceiling. Very beautiful.

Best chicken fried chicken I’ve ever had! The breading was crispy, even under the white gravy. The green beans were amazing with bacon and onions in them and coleslaw was the best we’ve ever had as well as the french fries. The breading was so crispy. Everything was just amazing. We will definitely be back next time we pass through Clinton, Missouri. Decorated in bass pro style, Johnny Morris would be proud of this place❤️ Our only complaint is that they did not tell us there would be a credit card fee when we paid.

This is a traditional rural feeling roadhouse with very good main course and appetizers the side veggies are canned which dings it hard and my roll was stale which dinged it hard for me taste and quality wise. But from an economics standpoint point and the local hangout stand point it makes sense. Another ding came from our server who was more interested in her conversation with her regulars but I noticed the other waitress was on top of all her customers so it is not a institutional but an individual concern . Would I stop by again when I am passing through? Hard YES. Would I go out of my way to stop there? no. As far as value, the prices are very good.

My husband & I went to this little restaurant for our 31st wedding anniversary. Very clean, nice little restaurant. The food was very good. Home cooking taste. Service was lacking though. Our waitress was attentive at first until some guests that she apparently knew came in and then it went downhill from there. We asked for a small go box when she brought our ticket. She left and after a bit then proceeded to the table with guests she knew… she was sitting there chit chatting with them while we were sitting there still waiting for our go box and for her to collect the check. She finally noticed my husband flagging her down and that we were still waiting and came to ask if we needed a go box and the check again… no just a small go box was our answer. She brought back a large go box and another ticket… she took the first ticket and money… other than the distraction of guests she knew the experience was not bad… like I said the food was very good!
