We had a really enjoyable meal at Malizo Restaurant & Bar and would happily recommend it. The steak was excellent – cooked exactly as requested, tender, and full of flavour. The prawns were also very well cooked, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Service was a real highlight: friendly, attentive, and professional without being over the top. It made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming. Prices were also very reasonable for the quality of the food and service, which made it even better. A great choice if you want good food, good service, and good value in Mauritius.

Nice little place me and the wife went here for lunch. The food was nice I had the beef pasta and my wife had the food mix. Also the wine was nice. A little bit over priced as I’m a local but would definitely recommend and be going back.

The food was excellent. We had Gambas by the Chef and Seafood spaghetti. My son ate everything on his plate. We had panacotta as dessert.

I rarely give 5 stars on every front but this time I had to!

I ate pasta with and mushrooms and beef it was amazing! Spectacular!

My husband too the crab and cannelloni and it was extraordinary!

The pana cotta with strawberries was fresh and incredibly good.

Highly recommended and we will definitely come again.

Oh the owner and the staff was very nice too

Lovely setting and restaurant with super attentive owners. My only gripe is there is nothing ‘light’ on the menu. E.g. salad or small plates without cheese other than the very good clams.

Hearty, generous plates, which is always a win. The food is fresh, and the service is fast and efficient.

The only downside is the soundtrack: motorbikes and buses passing literally two meters from your plate. But hey, that’s Mauritius for you, sidewalks are a luxury and the buses and vans don’t exactly purr like an F1 car in its prime.

Other than that, it’s a solid place to eat.

Im a chef in london and i want to try authentic Mauritius sea food.
The food was soggy and heavy fried seamed the oil was so old and nit be cleaned and changed
everything so microscopically small and tasted just fried
Supposed to be ITALIAN but is been run by French people
the owner is not a bad guy but at the same doesn’t take well the feedback
I came here 10 years ago when was run by the Italian and the food amazing but now the quality changed and not for good.

Unfortunately im not happy

It’s real piece of Italy at Mauritius. Pasta and fritto misto are marvellous! Service is fine. One of the best places on the island. Strongly recommended for visiting!

What a wonderful evening and experience! After having had several unsuccessful attempts to find a decent non resort restaurant on the West Coast we happened upon this little family run gem.
The venue is just across the road from the beach with a lovely cool deep terrace with tables. The waiters are super friendly and efficient, the Italian owner passionate and invested in the food her restaurant creates.
With all that going for it, it is the food that steals the show, wonderfully traditional Italian food made special with the most delicious and fresh Mauritian ingredients.

We enjoyed crispy Calamari with two home made dipping sauces, made in the lightest crispest coating and also the freshest lightest Tuna Carpaccio topped with lemon, olives and capers (cannot recommend enough) for mains we had the Spaghetti Frutti Di Mare pasta which is served in a generous bowl (needed to carry the huge portion of seafood – fresh razor clams, clams, mussels and Dorado), made with just a touch of fresh tomato to allow the seafood to shine! We also had a wonderful spaghetti with fresh fish, olives, tomatoes and capers (imagine a puttanesca but reimagined for lightness and freshness).

Desserts were a incredibly good panacotta, so light with a lovely light wobble, but with a richness and flavour were incredible as well as a fabulous Tiramisu! They are closed on Mondays.
