Fantastic spot. Normally I would avoid restaurants in plazas but we decided to stop in for a quick bite. The menu had lots of great options without being too overwhelming. The prices were very fair and we got 2 appetizers and 2 entrées for less than $40 which blew my mind. The quality of the food was superb. We had huge portions of food and took home the extras and they made for great leftovers. The inside is nice and lends itself to being a welcoming lunch or dinner venue. All in all it was a great experience and I’m so glad we tried it on a whim because now I can say Maliwan Thai is my favorite restaurant in Essex!

Best Thai food in the Burlington area. We ordered the fresh spring rolls, crispy chicken appetizer, pad see ew and salmon cashew special. They were all delicious! The portions are large as well, enough to have left overs. Service was a bit slow but that’s because they were so busy and it was worth the wait. Will definitely make a return trip here.

Some of the best Thai food I’ve had in a long time. I had the basil duck and my wife had pad Thai, both were fantastic. Huge portions and was particularly impressed with how much duck came in my meal. Will definitely be making Maliwan a regular dinner spot.

Absolutely delicious. We tasted six different dishes and enjoyed each for different reasons. The servers were polite and helpful and the food came out within reasonable time. I am happy that this is here now. Will definitively come back.

The food here is okay, but the service was disappointing due to short staffing. Compared to the other Thai restaurant in the Essex Experience, it is better than that place. That said, my family and I came on a Friday night at 5pm after going through emailing for a reservation. There were plenty of tables available as they are predominantly busy with take out orders. It appears they kept open tables and did not accept walk ins due to staffing shortage.

Some of the best Thai food my husband & I have ever had! We got drinks, two apps and two huge entrees for $55, which blew my mind. Everything had so much flavor and tasted super fresh. The restaurant itself was so clean & staff was wonderful. Will be returning next time we are in VT!

Got pad thai with chicken to go. The portion was very large and the noodles had decent flavor but the chicken was inedible. It cost $22 with tip. Not happy.
