Mali Nee Thai in East Harlem is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. Mata, the owner and our waitress, served us with her whole heart—her kindness and passion for her restaurant truly shine through. Every dish was phenomenal, bursting with authentic Thai flavors and prepared with such care. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a quality meal and great company. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for delicious Thai food with a personal touch!

Just discovered this little gem—not too far from me—and totally loved it! Unfortunately, there aren’t many Thai restaurants in my part of town, so this was a real treat.

Owned by a lovely Thai chef and served by another equally lovely Thai lady, the hospitality here was as warm as the flavors. I enjoyed a fantastic Tom Yum Goong and a super flavorful Papaya Salad—one of the best in town!

I was tempted to get my favorite, Green Curry, but the generous portions left me too full. Just means I have the perfect excuse to come back!

Definitely a local gem.

My sister and I visited this restaurant and we loved it!! Not only was this place small about 8 tables or so but it was homely and cozy. The server was very attentive at all times and food was delicious

Came here for restaurant week and it was amazing! For $39 you get a four course meal plus a glass of wine or beer! Not to mention that the courses are full size, I could barely make it to dessert! Everything was delicious and flavorful and the service was great. Will definitely be back, possibly this week 🙂

A warm and very welcoming joint, a bit cramped up during the evening rush but still very enjoyable environment. I Ordered the chicken Drunken Noodles, very very good, nicely balanced in spicy and seasonings , although I woulda liked a bit more veggies but still it was very Good. The chicken Fried Rice was also very good, nicely cooked, chicken was well done, not oily at all, I am very pleased. And the Thai Iced tea that was given to me as a complement for giving away my table for another family, very flavorful, and refreshing even at fall/winter. I would definitely come back and taste more Options

Easily one of the best and most authentic tasting Thai places I’ve visited in New York. It’s crazy how you’d never expect it to be where it is…but don’t be fooled! They’ve got a killer green curry, proper pork & shrimp dumplings and a fresh shrimp summer roll that’ll have you leaving beyond satisfied! The big + is the fact that they carry BeerLao Dark. Service was fast and on point and lunch special prices were great. 5/5 would come back very soon

WOW. Is this the best food we’ve had so far in NYC, almost a whole week into our trip?! It is! The happy hour from 4-7pm is SO GOOD. Duck buns, chicken satay buns, PUMPKIN FRIES, Thai chicken wings… all $5/plate. Perfect for sharing. We also got the pineapple fried rice with chicken *drool* so delicious – the perfect balance of flavors while being so warm and comforting. The restaurant itself is small and cozy. Perfect for a date or small groups (3-4 people). Also – the honey ginger tea is not kidding around – very gingery and perfect if you have a sore throat or cold.

Good Thai food in UES! If you are craving Thai this is the place to go!

Location: It is located in UES. The restaurant is small with few seatings inside and outside. I usually order to go.

Service: no interaction cause I ordered to go.

Food: Everything was good. I ordered their lunch combo which is PAD THAI with CHIVE RICE CAKE: good pad thai, it was seasoned well and it has lot of pork on it. The chive rice cake is my favorite, it soft inside and fried well. ROTI MASSAMUM: omg it was so good! You have to get extra roti, cause the sauce is so good!

Price rating: 6/10, it is not that bad for the amount of goodness you can have.

Will definitely come back here if I am craving for Thai food! Been here multiple times and their food is always great.

Stopped by for a late lunch to order takeout. They have good, affordable lunch specials. Pricing is based on the protein you choose and each main dish comes with an appetizer. The food was hot, fresh, full of flavor, and a good portion. There’s some indoor seating and in the warmer months it looks like they have some outdoor seating as well. The staff was friendly and attentive. Will be back when I visit in the future.
