My friend and I visited this restaurant on Monday for brunch and were absolutely delighted!

Firstly, the outdoor setting (but there was also the option to sit inside) with a view of the ocean and surfers is amazing! Secondly, the freshest ingredients, delicious dishes, and generous portions. We ordered three dishes, split them in half, and left feeling full (after a long hike in the mountains, we came here very hungry) ‍

Regarding the prices (before tax) ⤵️
Malibu shrimp tacos = $35 and absolutely worth every penny! The baked vegetables in this dish are a special highlight, as I didn’t expect them at all, as I was expecting just shrimp tacos.

Chicken quesadilla = $20, also very tasty.

Greek salad = $19, and unfortunately, it’s not worth the money. I definitely won’t order it again, and here’s why: the feta cheese was too salty, there were only three cherry tomatoes, and there were way too many olives. Overall, this salad left us with a feeling that we would have been better off choosing something else instead. The only thing that was truly delicious about this salad was the slice of watermelon, but that’s actually what made us order it, judging by the dish’s description.

Malibu Farm has been a Los Angeles favorite, staple, and a MUST of mine from the very beginning!

Let’s get the obvious out of the way – yes, it is pricey.
In my opinion, however, this is practically a give-in….considering it’s literally located ON the Malibu Pier and has TOP TIER quality and freshness to the food that it offers.

I’ve gone multiple times over the past decade – and every time, I’ve experienced excellent service.
Unlike SO many popular LA restaurants, I never get that aura and vibe of “you should feel lucky to be here”.
Not to be THAT person….but it’s true! So many similarly popular spots give off that sort of attitude.

Malibu Farm, on the other hand, feels homey, cozy, and relaxing….in SPITE of being so in demand and being in such a prime location.

Another thing…even if you don’t have a reservation, they’re usually able to accommodate you and offer you a table somewhere in their QUITE expansive space.

Now – on to the food itself…
It’s SO fresh, delicious, and high quality.
The food here has legitimately been some of my go-to and favorites in the area for as long as I can remember.
When I have family and/or friends visiting, I always take them here – and they always love the food!

A few of my favorites:
Lobster Mac (so fresh AND cheesy!)
Ceviche appetizer

Regardless of what you get or when you come, I think you’ll find a visit to Malibu Farm Restaurant well worth it after all is said and done.
I highly recommend!

I had a lovely brunch! The surfer huevos rancheros (good price for what you receive) were excellent. A lot of flavor. The small table outside was great, and I enjoyed the pistachio ice cream for dessert! Thank you!

Malibu Farm on the Pier is such a classic Malibu experience. The food is always fresh and beautifully prepared, and the ocean views from every table make it one of the most relaxing places to enjoy a meal. I stop in often with real estate clients and friends because it really captures the coastal lifestyle that draws people to Malibu. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or an afternoon bite, the atmosphere is welcoming, bright, and consistently excellent. A true Malibu favorite.”

It’s a beautiful place, very charming and great ocean views. However, the food and the prices!!!
We paid upwards of $20 for a waffle that tasted like it came straight out of a box, had no flavor and had a bitter aftertaste. The steak (and eggs) had a lot of herb seasoning and the included cauliflower mash wasn’t great either. Final bill: $140 for 3 people (steak & eggs, 2 waffles, and 3 drinks). Not worth it.

Location is great. Views are beautiful. The place is so cute and cozy. Food is pretty good. In my opinion too expensive for what you’re getting. Coffee is very nice. Would recommend the coffee and desserts.

Malibu Farm is a beautiful spot right on the pier with incredible views and a laid-back yet upscale vibe. One of the highlights was how accommodating they were with our dog — we sat outside and felt totally welcome, which was a huge plus.

The food didn’t disappoint. The salmon and crab cake were both flavorful and cooked just right. The Brussels salad was okay — fresh, but not as memorable as the other dishes. We also tried the chocolate cake for dessert, and it was rich and satisfying without being overly sweet.

Drinks were great too — well-made and refreshing, perfect for enjoying the ocean breeze.

The only downside was the parking. The lot right next to the restaurant charged $25 on a Saturday, which felt steep, but that’s Malibu for you.

All in all, Malibu Farm is a great choice for a scenic meal, especially if you’re bringing a pup along. We’d definitely come back!

We had the oysters and Lobster mac & cheese. The lobster mac & cheese was a lot for two people It was good. Oysters were a lot smaller than what we got at the Albright in Santa Monica. But it was still good

Malibu Farm offers an unforgettable setting right on the Malibu Pier, with unbeatable views and a relaxed, beachy vibe. The service was excellent—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. While the food presentation was beautiful and ingredients were fresh, some dishes lacked the depth of flavor expected at this price point. Still, it’s a lovely spot for a laid-back lunch with great ambiance and top-notch hospitality

We absolutely loved our experience at Malibu Farm! The food was incredibly delicious — every dish we tried was fresh and full of flavor. The ambiance is warm and charming, perfect for a family meal. Everyone we interacted with was kind and attentive, especially the blonde woman at the reservation desk — she was so helpful and welcoming. My husband, our little son, and I all enjoyed it so much that we’ve made it our weekly go-to spot. Highly recommended!
