Outstanding Italian Food in Hobart!
Maldini Restaurant is an absolute gem. The quality of their pasta is simply amazing. I ordered the Linguine ai Gamberi, and honestly, it was the best pasta I’ve had in a longggg time — perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and clearly made with care.
The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy your meal. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely lovely people — the service was excellent from start to finish.
Dessert was just as impressive. I had the Affogato, which was fantastic — pro tip: add a second scoop of vanilla ice cream to make it even more delicious . My wife tried the Tiramisu, which she absolutely loved.
Five stars across the board — food, service, atmosphere, and overall experience.

My favourite Italian restaurant in Hobart. I always visit whenever I’m in town.
My friend and I reserved a table for New Year’s Eve and absolutely loved the food. The entrée and two mains were served as individual portions rather than shared plates. Honestly, it was a bit too much food for us girls, definitely value for money, just more than we could finish.
We ended up taking the tiramisu away, and it was delicious. We’ll definitely come back for their pasta

On a chilly night, this restaurant was the perfect warm and welcoming escape. The cozy atmosphere, paired with a fantastic music playlist, created an excellent vibe that made the evening even more enjoyable.
We started with the calamari crispy and perfectly seasoned followed by a fresh and peppery rocket salad. For mains, the creamy duck fettuccine, and the steak was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy.
Every dish was delicious, and the overall experience was top-notch. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We went there around 8 pm, and they gave us a table quickly even we didn’t have a reservation. We were plan to order a pasta that attracted us on google maps, but the waiter said they seem never sold that, and he recommended one for us, which was absolutely great! Tiramisu is perfect as well! Lovely night.

We walked in without a reservation and we were lucky to get a table. The restaurant has a nice vibe with friendly staff and bright colours. The food was authentic Italian with the right mix of traditional ingredients. The service was pretty efficient even on a busy night.

A lovely spot in the middle of the bustling and atmospheric market place. Seated outside beneath the canopy of umbrellas on a perfect Hobart afternoon, we were served delicious fare by a charming member of the Maldini team. The bruschetta was the best I have ever had and the two course $45 menu was the perfect choice – from which I enjoyed a stunning and flavour packed chicken and mushroom dish. My dining companions’ choices looked equally enticing. Can’t wait to return.
