Great Irish bar with friendly service! Very clean, with a laid-back atmosphere. You feel like an old friend, even if it’s your first visit. Next time I am back in the Boston area, I will be making a stop here!

It’s just a fun Irish pub. A bit pricier for a dive bar with no cocktail menu or real food menu

NO food, but allowed to bring food in. Great traditional Irish pub

Hands down the best pour on the South Shore. World class Irish bar and you won’t find a better pint of Guinness around.

Used to go there a lot. The owner would cash my paychecks for me and the bartenders would buy me a beer or two every other visit. They loved having repeat customers and fun. So many people to talk to once you spent some time. Later on some odd late night bar tenders had attitude but the owner always took it to heart when I’d tell him about less than polite customer service.

I have many warmly indelible & endearing memories of the thousands of times that I dropped a substantial portion of my weekly paycheck into Malachy’s, as such amazing expenditures proved very much worth it (at least 97% of the time) Invariably very inviting & welcoming, I’ve had more fantastic, juicy, in-depth, fascinating & intellectual conversations in that esteemed establishment alone than of all the times that I’ve spent in every other Quincy bar combined , as the general IQ in Malachy’s is well above the regional average. They pour a superb pint of Guinness as well as prioritizing the importance of keeping Great Music oozing from their jukebox! Just a wonderful & friendly place to relax & savor a few pints. Will always cherish the times that I spent in there, Quincy’s Finest☘☘❤❤

Have gone to Malachy’s several times on my own. Unlike some bars, especially ethnic ones, I was treated very well. Bartenders and wait staff always attentive and friendly. Conversation was fun, as were other patrons. Definitely a keeper.

Have you ever gone to a place that has not been what you expected, but in retrospect, you should have expected it? That’s Malachy’s. From the outside, it looked like a quaint, towny Irish Tavern that might serve traditional Irish-American comfort food. It’s not. They actually don’t serve food at all. They don’t have waitstaff, and the bartender, though friendly, was definitely annoyed at us, having interrupted his television to ask for a beer. He informed us that if we wanted food, we could pick some up at the Thai place next door and bring it back and eat it at the bar. The aging clientele seemed only moments away from joining the numerous memorial cards pinned to the wall. My family’s restaurant has been closed for over a decade but I imagine that this is what it would look like had we not locked the doors when we left.

Going there for years. Great owners, staff and atmosphere. Pool, darts, family and most importantly a great juke box. Great place for a party also. Live music is very diverse , from Irish to rock. Great spot.

This is a good local bar. Beer prices are fair and the guinness tasted fresh. They have a pool table, darts, jukebox and some tvs. The bartender was very nice. A large group of us met up at the bar for a xmas gathering and we had a great time. I would definately go back again.
