Prices are quite high for portion size – 40$ for two meats and bok choy and fish cake. However, dry pot taste was still good.

Staff has an issue with us sending back the century egg to the kitchen – it doesn’t taste very good.

Dan dan noodles are pretty good in terms of taste and portion

Traveling from North Carolina and came here because it was recommended to me so much! It was genuinely the best meal experience that I’ve had in the city. Sarah and Mel went out of their way to be so kind to me and make me feel special when I was celebrating my birthday!

Couldn’t recommend it more!

Let’s be honest: this place is more “fusion” than traditional Chinese, so if you’re looking for grandma’s kitchen vibes, this isn’t it. But credit where it’s due—the beef noodles were actually better than what I’ve had at many so-called authentic Chinese spots. Flavor was on point, which I was not expecting.

Came with a friend who’s loyal to the 53rd Street location and has standards. This was her first time at this location, and shockingly, it delivered. Service was fast, efficient, and refreshingly drama-free.

Not life-changing, not 5 stars—but definitely a solid 4. I’d go back… just not pretending it’s something it’s not.

Absolutely amazing experience! The place is very hip and vibrant, but not too loud (which is perfect) I had a dry pot with marbled beef and potato noodles which was just immaculate! For drinks I had lychee martini and the coconut pudding for dessert. The pudding pieces were so light and not too sweet — perfect to wash down a big meal. Cam, Mel, and Emmy were such sweethearts!

10/10 highly recommend

The atmosphere isn’t fancy, but it feels cozy and welcoming. The service is excellent, the staff really know the menu and make great suggestions. Special thanks to Julian, who asked if I liked spicy food. I said yes, but he warned me their spicy is really spicy and suggested I go with ginger instead (great recommendation). The food was on point; I had the Mala Dry Pot with steak, sweet potatoes, pork belly and mushrooms, and everything was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend!

Service could be better – we asked for a dish to be taken back to the kitchen and they refused. Only when pressed did they offer to make a new one. However they charged us for it. Glad we checked the bill to make sure the second item was taken off.

Food was good overall tho

I ordered a medium-spicy dry-pot with pork ribs, beef tripe, sticky rice cakes, and enoki mushrooms and the food was delicious. I was also a huge fan of the restaurant’s branding/graphic design on its website, napkins, and its menu. However, I was really disappointed by the portion size. My order came out to around $32 and for that I expected at least a little more. Overall 3.5/5

I love the dry pot. The spices and herbs used in their MaLa sauce is just so good. We did have to wait a little to get seated but once we were, the seating had nice spacing. We loved the thousand year egg and the beef noodle soup was pretty good as well. Some other items on the menu like the dumplings and the pickled vegetables were just okay, noting really noteworthy. Overall I love coming here when i’m in NYC for the dry pot.
