Wonderful coffee shop!
I love the vibe and they participate in Good to go cups which is a fantastic if you are environmentally friendly but they also do compostable to-go cups! I got a Super Bon Bon and it was fabulous. I picked up a white chocolate hot chocolate for a friend. I will be back because this place is wonderful

I got an Iced Vanilla Mocha and a Salted Carmel Apple PopTart, both were delicious, there is a bookshelf of books and a small selection of board games you can use while here, really cozy and cute. Love the seating choices and plenty of outlets for studying or working online.
I really enjoy the in wall fireplace they have, i have rynauds syndrome and the warmpth of the fireplace was appreciated while i was working on my laptop.
The price was reasonable but my only complaint is for iced drinks you only have one size to choose from 16oz, i feel as though i paid the typucal price of a 24oz drink and got a 16 oz, but that is really the only thing. I will definitely be coming here to study or do art again soon.

Great local spot that serves up classic espresso and also great signatures! Try the Chocobun, it tastes like strawberry pocky.

Super cozy, and also a great spot to do some reading, work, or catchup with folks.

Will definitely be coming again!

How have you not been to this incredible coffee shop yet?! Get there for the most delicious, fun drinks, amazing pastries and one of the best, most welcoming communities in the Twin Cities! Conveniently located in Roseville, Mawka fosters a welcoming, environment along with hosting book clubs, puppy adoptions and crafting events along with many other options! The staff is nothing short of incredible. This is a must for true coffee lovers!

always lovely! wonderful coffee and wonderful employees. and their checkout person is able to sit down!! maybe thats weird to mention but a lot of cruel corporations force their employees to stand all shift when it’s completely unnecessary, so i really value when places have stools behind the counter for their employees!

Loveliest coffee shop in the metro area! I finally stopped by Makwa after doing my laundry just a few businesses down for years, and I can’t believe I waited so long. It feels like a warm hug when you walk in, and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. An absolute must-visit for everyone!

When I was unemployed I came here once or twice a week. Now I don’t have as much time to visit but I still really enjoy it when I do. Great environment and staff and good drinks. Perfect place to write and hang out.

Staff was friendly and kind. As a first time customer , they asked what I liked and offered suggestions for me to try and I was not disappointed. Absolutely , for sure will be returning to try the additional items available. This is a small indigenous queer owned business. Definitely did not disappoint.
