What an exquisite and overwhelming Dinner we had here – So well executed ! This is a must if you love and appreciate Fine dining.
The chef takes you on a journey through his childhood memories and more..
you have 2 options of tasting menus with wine pairing, and you can also add caviar or truffle to certain parts of your meal.
The Restaurant is beautifully decorated and the setting is fabulous.
Service was extraordinary.

Fine dining in Greece!! They started with letting us choose what type of bottled water like hello wow crazy. Super awesome meal especially with the display. Mushroom soup was a high light super aromatic and the bread with truffle was crispy and warm. The amuse bouche is seafood centric and has layers of textures with the kataifi and crunchy tarts. Langoustine was very tender and loved the sauces they paired with it as well. They gave us a menu to choose our olive oil for the bread from the bitterness and spiciness level. The bouquet was a pretty unique way of getting vegetables in. The dessert was also a highlight very silky smooth chocolate and nice lavender ice cream. Only thing was that rooftop was close the day I went and we were sitting outside. Next door restaurant was pretty loud

Wow what an experience that was!
One of the best michelin star restaurant I had visited in Athens in the last years!
Everything from start to finish was superb, the food, the service, the wine, the atmosphere!
We took the utopia set menu and add on top of it the lobster – wow!!!
The story of the chef with the food is exceptional!
If it’s a warm night you can also sit outside and enjoy the view.
Super recommended if you search for a high-end place to eat.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. Farm-to-table, attentive service, soothing, stylish atmosphere, and customizable opportunities for drink pairings. We opted out of the à la carte and escargot options, but they were offered before choosing our menu. Definitely recommend for a stellar dining experience while in Athens.

I have chosen Makris Athens to be my Michelin restaurant in Athens. It is right at the heart of Athens and you can have a nice view of Partheon. This is a quite young restaurant and it’s atmosphere is modern with Greek touch. We have chosen the utopia menu without cheese nor change the main course. The first course is a memory of forest, which has created a mystic atmospheer. I prefer the quail in this course. The second, a mushroom soup disguised as a small cup of cappuccino is quite innovative, and the taste of mushroom soup is very strong. The bread is designed with truffle flavor but it is not very outstanding. Then comes the bouquet salad, very refreshing and has different tastes, while the olive oil balances the roughness of fibres. The langoustine in two forms are quite nice, the different colors of sauces have spicy and salty flavors and offers oily texture. When mixed together, it provides the dish a very nice texture. Then comes the choice of olive oil. The sourdough bread comes from sourdough passed on already two generations. I have chosen spicy olive oil and the restaurant recommended the bottle of Dr. Kavvadia. This is indeed spicy but also very strong in bitterness, which I didn’t expect. Anyway, this is a very characteristic oil. The fish is quite good, well grilled. King Oyster Mushroom is sliced very thin, difficult to taste it. I suggest they try cut it into thick slices and grill in butter, that will bring more flavor. For main course, the mutton, we are invited to choose one from knives hand made for the restaurant. I chose an oak one. The mutton is my favorite dish in the whole set, you can taste three different parts of the mutton and they are all very well cooked, and extremely tender. For dessert, I think they are relatively less innovative but just doing correctly. The first desserts is apple flavor mousse with grapefruit, and the main dessert is chocolate with hazelnut. It is a combination that does not go wrong easily but as I said, lack of innovation. Finally chocolates made as chess and two columns in a big book. The two columns made from mastic trees are something new for us. They offered also a liquor made from mastic tree. Finally the restaurant provided an envelope contains the menu we had tonight and carefully sealed plus two coins of cholocates with lemon inside it. This is very strong in the sense of ritual.

Fabulous dinner at Makris tonight, it was my girlfriend’s 30th birthday and we
Couldn’t have been happier. We have eaten at fine dining restaurants around the world (some
Rated best in the world) but our experience at Makris blew them all away. Dimitri’s and Joanna were amazing with impeccable service. The food was fantastic, every dish better than the one before and the chef came out signed our menus and personally gave us gifts on the way out. When you come to Athens this is a restaurant you cannot miss!!! Thank you Makris the whole team, food, atmosphere were top rated!

You can’t be a Michelin star restaurant and rush people through their several course dinner cause you have double booked the table in one evening, several times we were not finished with our dish and they came to take it away. This very much hindered the entire experience. The food was really nice and esthetically beautiful, the place is nice and the somelier was outstanding. Insanely expensive for the experience we got. Honestly disappointed.

A truly breathtaking culinary experience that exceeds every expectation. The atmosphere is warm and captivating, setting the perfect stage for a beautifully orchestrated journey of flavors. Each dish feels like a work of art, with impeccable balance and unforgettable taste. The team’s professionalism and genuine passion of Petros Dimas elevate the entire experience, proving that fine dining here is not just a craft, but a heartfelt journey back to the flavors and memories of our childhood.

This is the second Michelin star restaurant I tried in my trip to Athens. Overall the experience was great – I loved the little touches that you can’t find elsewhere, such as choosing your water brand, having your wet towel be “prepared” by the staff, your choice of steak knife and the list goes on.
Similar to other Michelin star restaurants in Athens, you have the option of a juice pairing and it’s a great option for those looking for something non-alcoholic.
You also have the option of modifying or adding items to your tasting menu (if you don’t choose the A La Carte menu) and, while it’s great to try more things, do watch out on the amount of food you’ll be eating. By the end of the service, we were both very full and I’m glad I skipped out on most the bread, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to finish all the dishes.

Everything I expected and so much more. The staff and location are just spectacular in every way. The food is unbelievably good but the thing I was most impressed with was the creativity, culture, and art applied to every moment of a visit to this restaurant. Be amazed and catered to at an exceptionally high level and visit this spot. We chose the higher priced tasting menu with the win pairing. The wine was incredible and paired extremely well with every dish. Also highly recommend making sure to add the wine pairing.
