Great place to try in DC! My sister, son and I tried this restaurant out and they hit the mark. We were also able to come during Restaurant week so we got to try so much food, for a great deal. The service was impeccable and everyone was SO friendly. They made it a point to help us get to our hockey game after so they timed the food well and were just overall so kind. Their bao platter had plenty, cucumber were refreshing, and the matcha tiramisu was delicious.

This is a premium Asian fusion food preparation. Very creative dinning room decoration with very intention and creative Asian cooking. Shrimp dumplings were prepared with enhance ingredients and the boneless fried chicken was indeed flavorful. The scallion pancake was also a good surprise. Don’t come with the intention to feed your hunger but the creative food will satisfy your curiosity hunger. Definitely a place to impress your date.

My boyfriend made a reservation here so I could celebrate my birthday with my girlfriends, and it was wonderful! This was my second time visiting, and once again they did not disappoint. The food was just as good as I remembered, the atmosphere was great, and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming.
We ordered the Crystal Shrimp Dumplings so flavorful, especially with fish sauce and lime if you enjoy that combination. The Ginger Chicken Soup Dumplings were also very tasty, packed with rich soy sauce flavor. The Sourdough Scallion Pancake was excellent, and the Lo Mein was just as delightful. The shrimp dumplings were such a hit with my girlfriends that we had to order a second round!
Overall, it was the perfect place to celebrate and share good food with friends. I’ll definitely be back again!

This Chinese restaurant/cafe is fantastic all around. The food is full of flavor, the vibes are warm and inviting, and the service is excellent. The drinks are great too!

The regular menu is incredible, but I just have to give a special shout out to the Saturday bake sale. The themes are always super fun, the spread is beautiful, and the food is DIVINE. There’s always a line, so get there right at opening if you really want something in particular. But the staff are always so cheerful and friendly even on their busiest mornings. This has become the best part of my weekend!

My culinary experience at Maketto in Washington DC was incredible. José’s attention in the dining room was outstanding, and his recommendations were absolutely impeccable. I went with my girlfriend Adriana, and we had an amazing time. I would definitely return for the overall experience — the restaurant, the food, and the service were all exceptional.

Nice fusion of Cambodian and Chinese taste profiles, with a Taiwanese bias on the Chinese side (believe the staff are Taiwanese). Portions are decent and in general good food and service. Won’t recommend getting dough sticks and I think the noodle soup broths are a little bland.

Overpriced small portioned foods with no flavor. Cambodian noodle was as bland as water. Curry was too sweet. Peking duck was gamey and dry, kimchi and other pickled vegetables were served with the Peking duck which were beyond disappointing. The kimchi was a disgrace to Koreans. Bathroom was also filthy. Will not return. The food only looks decent in pictures.

Food was outstanding. The soup dumplings, red curry, and short rib were both standout dishes. Also the service was 10/10, someone who wasn’t even our server offered us alcohol free wine after learning we don’t drink. Definitely a great experience!
