Good food. Very tiny inside. Enjoyed the broccoli chicken and the golden gate roll. Yummy fried calamari and fried asparagus too. Prices are not too bad. Will be back again soon.

We had such a wonderful experience our first time here. Great customer service (friendly, fast, and efficient) and all of the rolls and appetizers we got were beautifully presented and tasty too! Didn’t take photos of all the food, but my had to when the enormous roll was presented. We couldn’t finish it all, but was still tasty the next day. Definitely will be back.

Makara Restaurant was a great experience. I ordered the jalapeño roll, which was delicious with just the right amount of spice. For an appetizer, I had the gyoza potstickers, and they were very good. The presentation was nice, and the service from the owner, Jason, was excellent. Highly recommend!

Absolutely love coming here when my husband and I can. We used to go fairly often when they were located in Oakdale and were surprised when we came to visit in Escalon after almost 2 years and the server remembered us. Delicious food, great staff. I usually get the tekka maki or spicy tuna roll and my husband gets the sashimi, as well as a bottle of the cloudy sake. Bonus, he’s allergic to shellfish and has never had a reaction there from cross contamination.

Everything was so delicious! We had the crab Rangoon, riverbank roll, and another roll. The hot tea was great. The service was amazing. Everyone was so sweet. We will definitely be back.
