We started with the marron bisque and arancini, both were very good. If you’re ordering the bisque, I’d recommend getting some warm bread to dip in. The pieces of marron were small but full of flavour so soaking it up with some bread would have been divine!
For mains I had the squid ink pasta and my partner ordered the scotch fillet. Both dishes were very well prepared and very enjoyable, no complaints whatsoever. It was clear the pasta was freshly made, which honestly is hard to come by these days, and the squid ink flavour was strong without being overpowering.
My partner and I shared our mains, so I also tried his steak. Although he ordered it medium-rare (I usually prefer rare), it was cooked perfectly and very tasty.

The ambiance is fantastic. The food is amazing. The wine is delicious. The staff are really lovely however, the food did take a while to come out (wasn’t busy) and the server forgot to bring us the dessert menu when asked. Overall, I have been multiple times and will definitely go again.

Service was extremely slow—we waited over an hour for our food while later orders arrived first. If you’ve got plans for later that night, expect delays. To add to the frustration, our scallop entrée had three while our friends had four when they’re here, showing a lack of consistency. Decent food, but not worth the wait.

Amazing dinner! Every dish from start to finish was well executed and presented. We had the seared scallops, just cooked perfectly. The steak and grilled line fish were cooked perfectly, the sides paired very well. The dessert, bread pudding was stunning. We would lobe to come back again. Service was very good considering only one waitress. She was friendly and warm, checked in on us frequently. What a great find in this small town.

Absolutely one of the best restaurants in Albany. Food was fantastic, wine was good and service was excellent. Food was very flavourfull. Sardines on toast were really good as was the crepe suzzette which you do not often see on the menu. We sat upstairs which we really liked as a bit less noisy. There is also a very quaint balcony with seating upstairs.

To be honest with you we had a Night organized here arachini balls tasted like sardines from a bait place.and the pate taste like dog food. It is really hard for me to be so abrupt and so rude about one’s food but honestly, the prices are over the moon for stuff that smells like what we feed our dogs, unfortunately for us and many of your others. This is probably not the place for you to go to. I hope that you enjoy food at other places. Looks good but honestly so bad unfortunately.

We were warmly welcomed and quickly seated (I strongly advise booking) but the service dipped to almost non-existent after that. I don’t think it’s this venue’s attitude/intention though. The hospitality sector in entire region overwhelmingly understaffed and unfortunately it’s resulting in frazzled nerves for servers and customers alike.
The food was great and we did not have to wait long for it after it was ordered. The portions are more than adequate, and full of flavour.

We arrived slightly later than 20:30 when the kitchen closed and we asked if it was possible to have a table for 4. The waiting staff were busy but they found time to seat us and we enjoyed a lovely 2 course menu from the main menu. The waiting staff were extremely polite. We ordered fairly quickly and the food arrived in good time. I have read previous reviews and I have to be honest – the food was extremely good and we all enjoyed our main course and dessert. Thank you for waiting on us with no reservation and a little late, we appreciate that. Thank you.
