Best dessert of my life – Calaverita Maicera – Día de Muertos special. Creamy, crunchy, toasty, smoky goodness. Our tacos were also delicious.

Recommended by Google and glad we went! The decor is a rustic modern which provides a comfortable dining ambiance.

I had the Huarache de Hoja Santa con Pork Belly y Mole Poblano and couldn’t recommend it enough, I love the crunchy pork belly skin complimented with the mole. We also had the oxtail which was equally as impressive. The meal was complete with corn ice cream with a red wine reduction glaze and a cocktail.

By far the best meal I’ve had on this trip and I look forward to coming back again soon!

I tried the gin and tonic made with a corn based gin, pineapple and hoja santa…wonderful with a touch of corn flavor. Also their chicken chalupas (very fresh) but the star was the chileatole! Mine was with sausage and my friend ‘s was with shrimp. Both amazing. Really fresh and light. I would come back to explore more dishes.

Great experience. Had the picaditas with costillas de cerdo, queso fundido con hiluitlacoche, and the chileatole special. Everything was delicious and they are things you don’t find at every restaurant. The handmade tortillas were fire. Waiter was cool. Good Mezcal. Would return 100%

Very tasty food! The most delicious meal since we came to Mexico. Recommend oxtail, grasshoppers and cheese shrimp. Although we came very late (we finished after their working time) the restaurant still keeps nice service.

My favorite meal and restaurant during my visit to Puebla! The Pork Belly Huarache with Mole Poblano is spectacular. Crispy skin and tender meat. Mole is layered and complex – the best I had in Puebla! Tacos are unique and delicious. Antonio was friendly and made great suggestions. I’ll visit again next time I’m in Puebla!

This was the 1st place we had a meal in Puebla. What a fantastic meal we had!!!! The rib tacos were outstanding. The mole was great. To finish it all we had a delicious blue corn ice cream. Could not recommend this place any higher. It’s a must.

Shines in places, a little rough in places, but I would absolutely recoomend, and I will return.

The queso fundido is awesome, we had the al pastor variety, and it was superb, gernous, and served with excellent blue corn tortillas.

Salmon special was fair. Came out frozen still (and I expect frozen salmon, nothing wrong with that) and had to send back. The fish was mediocre, freezer burn flavor, but the corn sauce around it was incredible.

The pork belly huarache was spectacular. Perfectly crispy, and then tender. The plantains married perfectly. The huarache itself was a bit to hard, and difficult to cut, but tasted good. The mole was absolutely gorgeous.

Cornbread cake en nogada is such a cute idea. The cake itself was moist and tender, flavorful, awesome. The nogada was a bit thin and bland. Not great. The pomegranate was unfortunately completely flavorless l, which is something I’ve never had happen before. Not sure if it was getting old or what.

Decent red wine but inexplicably served ice cold (a dry red). Still was fine. The craft corn beer on the dessert menu was lovely.

Decent though sparse service, very slow (we were the only ones there) but we were not in a hurry and enjoyed taking our time and enjoying our wine.

They could improve, but I really liked it, and will return. It’s more affordable than many of the other nice places in the general area.
